The whole patriarchy will extinct if we do just 2 things - 1. Legally and socially give equal property rights to women /daughters 2. To not make it mandatory legally or socially that a girl need to leave her house to live in boys house . It should be arranged according to individual situations and circumstances.

No one should live with their parents. They should stay separate and do their duties towards parents. Too many misunderstandings living with parents. Yes if a situation comes where parents need us physically we should bring them to our homes and serve them from heart, be it your parents or spouse's parents. After all why is family for?
