This time, we went on a food tour at Nishiki Market in Kyoto! !
This market, which has a history of 400 years, is still loved by people from both Japan and abroad.
It was full of delicious food and it was very crowded and fun ✨

I love street food! It's the best way to get to know the local favorites and people. You're so lucky to have Ms. Dig with you, sometimes it's great to travel with someone who has as much passion as yourself. Sometimes, not, lol.

Sad that foreigners are banned from certain parts of Kyoto. Hopefully they can visit this market. All the food looked wonderful.

The restricted area is a path frequented by geishas, and in the past, maikos' kimonos have been torn and cigarette butts have been put in their collars, so they are no longer allowed to enter. In fact, as Japanese tourists, we can't even go in 🥲 Anyone can come to the places I introduced this time! !

I went to nishiki market when i was in japan but it just had to be the last day at kyoto and the market closed!! At least some stores are open so i got to eat

Considering it on the outside, not towards the inside, I'd say it was from the marinade. Plus, even if it was a bit raw, Japan has such strict guidelines on meat, it wouldn't hurt.

It's not similar to green tea, it's a little richer! Matcha is more likely to have a bitter taste, but it also has a distinct umami and sweetness. This time I had a matcha latte, so it was sweet! !🍵

@@DigDigJAPAN Oh! Very interesting. Maccha is popular here in Santa Cruz, California. However, I have not tried it because I don't go to coffee houses or Starbucks. I think I will make a special trip to try maccha.😊
