Nice work with the mini :-) it's one of the kind you can fit in a house when you have flooring to dig out it seems to have plenty power for it's size...I do believe slightly smaller mini's exist to get inside a house through double doors or likewise.. If you have a floor to take out and replace it's always nice to have a mini...

logger 18 hours ago These are great little machines for the price. I have one that I have put over over 100 hours on it in the past few months. Levelled sites for sheds including one with a cutting into a hill side. Cleaned out drains and dug post holes. Trenched underground power cables and dug out loads of stumps. Mine is a slightly newer variant, with improved engine access, but has all the same running gear and engine. It is single cylinder Yanmar clone made by Koop. 10hp, rattly as hell & you really need to wear hearing protection if you spend any time on it. 5ltr fuel tank runs for 8 hours. The engine is fumy and does not meet any modern emission standards, so you wont want to run it in a confined space. fine for outside though. I have been a bit fastidious changing the hydraulic oil very early, the engine oil every 30 hours or so & keeping the grease up to all the pins. I figure it is built to a price, so you cannot afford to neglect the maintenance if I want it to last. It is no where near as Jerky to operate as in this video, once you become proficient at operating it. It is very slow with a top speed is 1.9kmh, so you would not want to have to travel it any distance. As someone else mentioned, press turns on the grass are the way to go or just turn very gently. Mine came with swingboom, three buckets, a ripping tine, a thumb, a rake and a 20cm posthole auger. Surprisingly I have found a use for every one of these attachments. 1

It's satisfying removing stumps with an excavator! I got about 10 smallish ones out with a 1.5t Kubota, but the larger ones (about 35 1ft dia connifers) needed a stump grinder - which was also satisfying to use. I started digging round them and cutting them below ground level with a chainsaw, but quickly realised (after 3) that I was going to ruin my back.

Jees I need one of those little bad boys for my back garden got a few ton of tailings been sitting there 10 years I dug by hand (and now I'm older and got a dodgy back) the pile still there in middle of the garden!! lol 😅🤦🏻 grassed and weeds all sorts now. Been looking at these but they're still pretty expensive in England, was gonna buy one and rent it out. Thought about hiring one but having not used one before thought more cost effective to buy and sell it on, once I've finished doing the jobs I need to in garden some footings for a workshop etc. Good to see one in action though looks like it cut through that ground no trouble and the roots which pretty impressive. That little engine like a lawnmower engine lol 😅

I have a pull behind unit similar to bur not unlike the harbor freight model. If and this is a big if, the rear is weighted, it does a good job. If not, it turns into a bucking bronco. I attach mine to a tractor’s counter balance and this gives it the counter force needed to rip. If you do not start the stump removal dig well away from the stump itself and attack to sever the roots, good luck.

I am pretty sure my John Deer lawn tractor has a beefier motor (D155). Still, I am impressed at how effective it was.

The owner even added attachment points for a thumb on the little digger. Nice!

logger 3 weeks ago These are great little machines for the price.
