Took me a little while but this worked! Only difference on my OS was that the plugin was called "Avid Audio Server" and the manager was called "CoreAudio.icns". After the second restart and some patience, it fired up. Thanks a million dude!

Great breakdown. Is it FULLY functional ?? I hooked up my 002 to PT 12 on a new iMac from 2022. Had to input a bunch of text copy into the DOS that I got from another KZfaqr's tutorial Video, but it's fully functional now. Pans and all inputs etc.... Seems like your way woulda been allot easier haa. Plus BUT I didn't get iMovie w my 2022 iMac for some reason and now I needit. Apple store says I gotta update the Mac's OS to get the free IMovie. Do you think updating to 1 newer version OS would stop the 002 rewrites? Render it useless ? Just wondering, Thnx

My system did not have the Avid Coreaudio.plugin, so I never was able to get the faders running. Ideas? I ended up with dead faders and Pro Tools not recognizing the analog I/O channels on the 002

Don't see those plugins extention in HAL (no Digi folder created either) when I downloaded the 11.1.5 update. Care to share those with the rest of us? It'd be sweet if we can finally give it 2nd life as a lo-profile interface & controller.

this is great, i cant wait to try this approach since i am stuck with an 002 and PT11. first question is is that am i still good with PT11 - switched over to a new mac now - it was all PC before. 2nd is how did you connect it - was it just a firewire to a usb? digi002 is only firewire output

Only question is wich connections you made, Thunderbolt to FireWire or USB to firewire

thanks for uploading this video. I also work with the digi002 LE7 - However, I had a windows computer made when I bought the digi. I need a new computer and want to buy an IMAC refurbished - I saw one of 750 euro intel QuadCore i5 2,7 GHz - Turbo Boost 3,2 GHz its a late 2012 model - do you my digi 002 will work on this machine, and do you know if I can install the same LE7 version of pro tools again, cause it works fine for what I do with it...Hope you can help me out - I had contact with Avid, and they told me it doesn't work because the digi is too old, and I had to buy a new converter + get the pay per month pro tools version of $25 a month...but that is their advice of course...hope you can give me some of your ideas my friend

I'm using a digi 003, Apollo 8p, PT 2018.10, and Late 2012 Mac Mini. The Digi 003 seems to be working as an interface and a controller. But it's my understanding every time you boot up your computer to start a session you have to trick the digi 003 by selecting it in the playback engine and once it connects, you go back to the interface you want to use (apollo in my case). With a big session this can take some time to open and close the session to achieve this. Is there a workaround? I'm thinking just save a template of a bare minimum session and load that each time you boot up. Also, I want to use the digi 003 as a mic pre/line out via ADAT connected to my apollo, but I can't get it to work. Please comment if you have any ideas. I've only had the digi 003 for a couple days. Hey I'm using a 002 right now and on the the little screens above the channels it says that pro tools has a dialog on screen the faders arnt moving to what it's like on the screen and not telling me the right channel do you know what is wrong?

Hi, I am using a 002 with a pro tools 7 on a XP windows for 10 years - Now I want to purchase an Imac computer 16G, does the digi002 with a new version of pro tools that Avid offers - does the computer work with the digi and new pro tools software? I had many conversations with Avid and they told me the 002 will NOT work because its out of date and I have to purchase a new I/O converter to be able to use their new programs and new computer --- I see so many videos where the 002 is working.....please assist me on this about the Imac computers and the latest pro tools versions
