Definitely a bit anticlimactic and I personally know that some are thinking “Seriously!? That’s the finale!?” While I agree the episode was rushed along the ending considering it feels so abrupt to dump lore about this endbringer considering we know nothing about it (not to mention I personally knew that those black Digimon were monitoring Gulus in case something went wrong in which is a bummer!!!), alongside the fact that I legitimately don’t know why GulusGammamon made medicine for the digital world considering Thetismon would do it but I still loved it and everyone else regarding GulusGammamon is self-explanatory like you mentioned in which mad respect for him being graceful about his loss (surprisingly), sure I would of liked to see Amphimon and Diarbbitmon being part of the action as well but it really felt like a solved fight considering Gulus and Gammamon share the same body in which makes sense of wanting a one on one without interference and I personally know that some are still dejected about Arcturusmon and Proximamon not showing which while it would of been much cooler, I personally don’t see any reasonings to use them and secondly, by the time episode 42 aired, they were already scripting on the climax and by the time, Gammamon’s dim card/evolutionary line revealed, it was quite late in hence why they stated the “final” antagonist for this series was Regulusmon which kinda sucks but I am also very grateful we gotten a well choreographed/animated fight and I still want a season two please because it feels abrupt to put out lore like this and I still want to see Arcturusmon and Proximamon respectively if that makes sense!!! 🤔🥲 (And yes, I would love to see the crew getting GulusGammamon heavily involved in their everyday life regarding the main characters considering he is very popular and would feel like a true love letter to the fans, yes please!!!)

It’s a shame for Arcturusmon not showing up in which I understand why some felt upset but was any reasoning behind this? Not really, unless there was a bigger fight and it felt more like a “solved” fight for Siriusmon by any means. Sure I would like to see Amphimon and Diarbbitmon to partake in the battle but I respect Siriusmon’s decision of wanting a one on one with Regulusmon. Maybe, but it probably was the Digivice/Vital Bracelet giving Siriusmon the plus he needed to beat Regulusmon. If not for that, Regulus would have won no doubt.

Yeah, I'd say this was a bit the same as Apocalymon battle. I would say WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon wouldn't do anything to him under normal circumstances (I mean Tamers Apocalymon survived even Omegamon albeit barely), but somehow in Adventure they ended up destroying his body.

To be fair, Siriusmon would never have truly defeated Regulusmon and if he had managed to evolve into Arcturusmon…Game Over.

Still, I would say that this was at least slightly better than Adventure 02 finale where the final villain was literally talked to death. Even as a kid, I found that ridiculous, and it was really hard to take that BelialVamdemon seriously.

Well Regulusmon is very much a high or top tier Mega, his official level is Ultimate/Perfect but he's one of those exceptions who's just far stronger than most other Digimons of his level. And heck, GulusGammamon was already as strong as Mega as he destroyed Rafflesimon IIRC. He's almost as absurd as Lucemon and his line.

Bro you better check its data because regulus is not even inferior at all. Considering there are some ultimates can even beat mega

@@geniusgamerr4517 Yeah he's anyway at Megidramon's level who's a strong Mega himself, and yeah sometimes levels don't mean shit. I mean Lucemon FM is also "only" Ultimate/Perfect but he owned six Royal Knights at once in ReArise (and this even included the likes of Alphamon and Omegamon). And then there are very weak Champion Digimon that even normal people can pummel at times. Like these Bakemon in Myotismon arc and then obviously Numemon, Sukamon, etc. The level system works seamlessly only when we look at a certain line of a certain Digimon. For example, we know that Tai's WarGreymon is better than Tai's MetalGreymon, but that doesn't mean that some random WarGreymon can be automatically stronger than some highly experienced MetalGreymon.

How he can be Proximamon if he not absorb Gulus first? Both Gamamon and Gulus needed for Proximamon Jogress evolution
