SMT loves eerie/creepy game over scenes, the earlier ones had the protag crossing the river into the underworld. ...And then SMTIV played it for laughs by having Charon be so horribly overworked that he practically begs you to come back to life.

Here is something really helpful: Once you master the Destroyer, Dark Lord, and Vicious God mantras (It doesn't have to be the same person mastering these three mantras), you unlock the Godly Spirit mantra for everyone. Godly Spirit has Auto Soma and Null Ailment as its skills. Null Ailment nulls all status ailments except for Stone and special boss-only ailments such as Bat and Hunger. Auto Soma though fully restores HP and MP after battle, being the Digital Devil Saga equivalent of Victory Cry. Edit: Dark God is in Digital Devil Saga 2. The required mantra in Digital Devil Saga 1 is actually named Dark Lord.

Welcome back Fail Channel, I feel like it’s been a while since we’ve seen it. Japan update: back in Tokyo and today was Akihabara day. Turns out, it’s kinda rough to explore with your whole family, so we didn’t end up looking around too much, but I got some nice goodies.

5:42 Samael is kind of pain to deal with in DDS1 especially in this particular waterway. Luckily his weakness is altered in the sequel to be a lot easier to exploit. 17:00 Samael is already Muted here, so he will NOT become Frightened. In the DDS Duology, there is an Ailment Priority System, so if the target is already affect by an Ailment that is higher priority, the target becomes immune to the lower priority Ailments. Frighten is the lowest priority Ailment, and the highest priority normal Ailment is Stone, boss-only Ailment will always take precedence. This is the reason why Speedrunners try to inflict Stun on a support character for the Final Dungeon via Muscle Drink, simply because Stun is pretty high on the priority list with nearly no draw-back and can block a good majority of the Status-Ailment that get thrown around by the enemy encounters(yes this includes the second to last Story boss of this game). I also took advantage of this mechanic in both of my attempts against this game's and the sequel's Super Boss. 35:56 Orochi's AI is smart in detecting Mute Immunity, however if he detects any character on the field that is immune to Mute the moment he wants to use MP Thief, he will switch over to Mad Rush spamming, so the Void Mute shield is not really needed after Orochi starts spamming Mad Rush.

5:42 Samael is kinda meant to be a "bonus" enemy that's really hard to kill, like Omoikane. 17:00 I figured that might work that way, just wasn't sure if Frightened sat outside the regular ailments. 35:56 Ah, okay. That makes sense. That'd explain why I got screwed over the 2nd time: Cielo, who had Null Mute, got KO'd after he started Mad Rushing. And since I brought back Gale instead, he started using MP Thief. Interesting.

Happy Trails Through Daybreak English Release Day my fellow Trails fans. And Breaking News: It has been announced by NIS America at Anime Expo that Trails Through Daybreak 2 will be releasing Q1 2025. So now the West is only 1 game behind as Kai no Kiseki releases in Japan in September.

Samael is an example of what I mentioned in an earlier comment: He's weak against poison, and there is _only one single skill_ in this game that can exploit that for press turns: Foul breath. All other skills that inflict poison are actually phys or almighty so won't give you an extra press turn. I can't remember exactly what I settled into for consistently beating the 2x samael fight, but since it always comes in as reinforcements you can try to always be buffed at the end of battles in this area--a full stack of rakukaja or sukukaja makes their attacks much less threatening. I think I put regular Makajam on multiple characters since Makajamon fails too often. Stacking debilitates on them really helps--their attacks do less damage, your attacks damage them more, and bloodbath has a higher chance of missing. If it works how I remember it, if a multi-target attack misses _any_ target it completely negates any crits it might have made on the others.

I prefer Foul Breath to Makajama for getting Press Turns, also they eventually die to the poison.

Missing/hitting NDR affinities is like that in any of the games with the Press Turn system; if one target dodges or is immune to the attack, the turn penalty takes priority over any turn bonus from Critical or Weakness attacks. Unless you use DDS2's Follow-Up Ring (negates turn penalty for missing), Block Ring (negates turn penalty for hitting Null, but *not* Drain or Repel, AFAIK), or SMT5(V)'s Safeguard (negates _all_ Miss/NDR turn penalties). (In SMT4/4A, both Critical chance and hit/dodge chance are calculated per hit instead of per target. SMT5 reverts hit chance to per-target, but keeps the per-hit Critical rolls)

That explains why Human Form Only challenges can rely on Counter skills.

For the record, all Passive skills work in human form. And yes, the elemental shot skills benefit from things like Boost and Amp skills (you need to set them on the human character). Status ailments have priority over others. Mute has the highest priority in the game, tied with Stun; frightened has the lowest in the game. Higher Priority Status can overwrite lower priority statuses. You see the problem here: enemies with ailment weaknessess cannot become frightened if you inflict them with an ailment, and you need to either use the damaging attack of those ailment type, or shield one of their attacks.

I wonder if Boosted/Amped shots are a legit strat sometimes. Ah right, that'd explain why Foul Breath is preferable to Mute skills here. (Although maybe MP Thief can Frighten Samaels? Never tried that but logically it should work)

I started a playthrough of DDS1 before SMTV Vengeance came out to do some experiments with lesser used skills and such, Like the double Slash and Demon Rage and tbh they were a lot of fun to use especially in AOE and in the Mick fight. BUT! the main thing that I always heard was OP is Ailments! most specifically the ever insane NERVE! Sleep and Stun are nuts on they're own and combined with the Fatal Hunt skills? I always knew using Fatal Hunt skills on an enemy whos asleep or stunned would increase the chance for Feast to proc, But man it boosted it a lot more than I thought it did. Ingest has a 30% proc but when ever I used it on a stunned or asleep enemy it felt like it worked 75% or 80% of the time on them. and this is personally my preferred method to beat this prick Samael! ironically it felt a lot more reliable than Makajamon.

When there was only one Samael alive you could have neutralized it with just Void Phys instead of the attack mirrors. I guess that's why there are 2 to start and they each have 2 press turns. I also notice these multiple level ups at once only offer one extra random boost at the stat screen, though I guess it's only come up now with these big bosses. 37:40 This Orochi boss has really stood out to me. All the enemies so far haven't cared about hitting into immunity shields that are visible when you put them up (though I guess if you break them then you can still hit afterwards like Samael showed), but he actually changes up his strategy around it, and uses his 8 turns to the fullest. If he couldn't run out of MP he would be unstoppable (and I guess he won't if you aren't prepared to counter MP Thief), though I guess enemies already break the rules of not using HP to use physical skills so it balances out. 46:47 Funny how the final shot combos are only unlocking now. And Gale's is named after him.

And yeah that's true, technically you have a better chance at higher stats if you level up one at a time, but in practice multi-levels are rare enough not to set you back. 37:40 Technically he could use up 2 turns to break the Void Mute and THEN go to town with MP Thief, but the developers probably figured that'd be unfair. There's at least one mandatory story boss (you'll see next part) who changes tactics in response to shields. 46:47 They require someone's gun and any Drain shield I think. First tier is Void, 2nd is Repel.

@@BigKlingy 17:46 Same. 55:35 (Note for the gyms I was allowing myself the same number of Pokémon as the gym leader themselves) I actually found the first 3 gyms decently challenging and while the midgame to Volkner could get kinda easy, I appreciated major trainers used some degree of strategy like Saturn's Kadabra having Damp Rock Rain Dance to complement his Toxicroak's Dry Skin or Volkner's Raichu having a Shuca Berry. I actually enjoyed the Elite Four fights as they felt challenging but not unfair. To me Cynthia was the fight that took things too far. It was to the point where when I finished fighting Cynthia, it was less of a "Yes I overcame this great obstacle" and more "It's finally over"! My team if your curious Amphrite the Empoleon Morgan le Fay the Mismagius Micheal the Togekiss Asura the Ambipom Drac the Drapion Nephyths the Garchomp With a special mention to Ratatskor the Pachirisu who was with me throughout my journey but I wasn't comfortable going into the league with half my team weak to ground

1:53 Dead Ends are also a type of bullet in Persona 1 and they are also really powerful and have a chance of stone. I think you can get them from returning Cerberus. One story about them was that I was grinding in the Snow Queen Quest and I encountered Persona 1's version of Omoikane in Alice and I didn't have Lunar Trap to prevent her from running away but I got really lucky and petrified her with the Dead Ends so she was an easy kill after that.

4:53- Hurray, it's SMT's Slifer the Sky Dragon! Seriously, another one of my favorite demon designs in SMT and like I've said before, Samael was my first real exposure to SMT via the clip of him causing a charm'ed Diarhan heal on him in his boss fight in Nocturne. Love this guy. 6:45- RIP 13:12- Achievement Unlocked: Brain Food- Actually kill an Omoikane in DDS1 despite how annoying they are to do defeat. 13:17- lol At those spikes. 17:27- I know it's harder to access, but is it truly lost yet when a good number of people have access to Rev from buying it before it went down? -Or emulating it before it went MIA?- 19:22- Yeah, poison damage is no joke for some of the side quest fights in Vengeance. In addition to his, another side quest in area 2 is also scary with poison damage, causing me to barely win and caused my associate currently streaming the game take like an hour or so to beat that one. I am now considering keeping a Me Patra Demon on hand at any time JUST because of those fights. 30:04- Oh hello Orochi. Not sure why you decided to park yourself on the side of the bridge that gives you the least amount of room, but oh well. 32:21- At least it was still BigKlingy/10 Voice Acting. 38:22- It does sound a bit similar. Guess Orochi is missing turns by playing AoE on occasion since he knows he's debuffed to crap. lol 40:47- I mean in Nocturne it restored 25% of your MP, so it was great there. Here it's fine and the one in Vengeance depresses me. 41:51- Hurray! Fail channel! No offense Klingy. Xp 45:19- Still love the voice they gave Hell Biker in Nocturne HD and V. lol 50:56- It's at least amusing and you get an elixir or something really good for putting up with that crap. 53:03- So we're going to be framed... I think that's a first for a game where you purposefully want to get framed for something. In other news, well first, late Happy 4th to everyone. Second, more progress into Vengeance. Sadly not as much as I wanted to, but still on the road of progress; Just going to have to play a bit quicker to stay ahead of my previously mentioned associate as I don't get spoiled. Just a little annoyed that I lost some time due to White Rider being trickier than I anticipated (especially given I was five levels above him) and needing to do a lot of fusions and thus needed a lot of money runs to make mostly everything I wanted to beat his fight finally (and of course AFTER all of that I get enough glory to get Summoner's Hospitality II and during another money run to set myself up for future fusion projects). At the very least during it, I got a fusion accident, giving me a level 53 Jikokuten when I was only level 48; Didn't help in that fight since he would have needed resist fire to be good for it, but it's still funny and gives me a look into future fusion projects a bit quicker. Also during all of this, one of my demons, thanks to the Haunts, got Resist Physical, which is really early even for where I am; Didn't register them with it as I need their current skill set as is for them to be great, but I made sure to fuse away the resist physical one into something else so I have that as the resist physical fodder instead. Now once my Switch charges back up, I'll finish my current money run and then begin doing some side quests, maybe do the Red Rider fight next as well -and damn myself with another money run- since Red's a favorite of mine, before the plot is about to really pick up given what's about to happen in it. Also during my 4th of July Celebration, I decided to play a bit more of Devil Survivor Overclocked and made it to the 2nd Day. Fun game, but I just feel guilty how much I keep putting it on the back burner as I get caught up in longer games that need more time. I hope to beat that game this year too alongside my promise for Trails From Zero too. I got a lot to get done within this summer and the first half of fall before the next wave of backlog hell comes knocking on my door.

I think I used Samael for the first time when I played Persona 3 Portable and I think my one was pretty good. Sameal is pretty dangerous in this place it seems. They are well worth killing considering the huge amount of experience they give. A lot of people have it downloaded but if you want to get it yourself, you might have to emulate. I remember I used poison damage when I fought against the last Abscess since it is quite effective there. He thinks he is cool with those 8 press turns of his. I won't complain about getting more elixirs in FF7. If it means fighting another optional boss, we might as well. I assume White Rider is similar to his fight in Nocturne with the focus on ailments. Good to hear that he has been dealt with and hopefully Red Rider will go well as well. Good to hear that you had some fun with Devil Survivor as well. As for myself, I made it to the 3rd hour of the Nürburgring 4 hour endurance after letting the AI drive and he did fine enough but my race pace is generally better and we had very similar tyre wear as well. After writing this, I should be finishing that last hour. Me and my brother did another playthrough of Castle Crashers in one sitting and I did better since the Fire Demon suited me better than the Ice Knight I used in the first playthrough. Funnily enough, Ice Knight is probably the best character since he freezes and has an infinite with his X X X Y combo. For the Three Houses randomizer, Gronder went alright as Hegemon Edelgard and Maiden weren't able to stop Dimitri. Now something weird happened as earlier in the playthrough, we saw that Fleche was replaced by Young Edelgard but once Fleche became Maiden, she transformed into Ladislava to try and kill Dimitri but Ashe stopped that from happening by sacrificing himself but at least Dimitri isn't edgy anymore. We also learnt that Lambert was replaced by Sothis which is very odd. Anyway, back to the Kingdom for the next map and the one behind the problems here was Gatekeeper as he replaces Cornelia. He was also a Wyvern Lord with Aymr which sounds scary but he was pretty easy to take out. Next was Dimitri's paralogue and Yuri's scheme failed there so we let him retreat again. After that was the Deirdru map where Hegemon Edelgard needs some help from the Kingdom against Lord Anna who replaces Arundel. This was just a one turn with Dimitri like it usually is despite Lord Anna being quite strong. Next play session should be the last, starting with Fort Merceus and the final battle against the Death Claude.

@@BerserkerRohan That's good to hear. Sometimes I feel he's very hit or miss when the player gets to use him, so good to see he treated you well. With all of the tools it had, I'd be more shocked if it wasn't a threat. Oh they're absolutely worth killing, but like Klingy more or less said, game mechanics are at odds with one another that make it hard to actually get the kill. True, but my point being is how people still have means of accessing it, which is unlike actual lost media where sources of it are scarce or lost as suggested by their namesake. The 8 press turns is interesting indeed. I still find the idea of someone leaving a random elixir at the top of a fire escape and how it's treated as a reward is very amusing. Yeah, going to be another optional fight since it would be anti-climatic if there wasn't a boss tied to it or if it was just against a random grunt. Not really; What makes his fight tricky for me is for whatever reason, they decided to give him Ragnarok, which at this point could easily kill any demon if its hits landed twice on a single target and poor Idun kept had that happening to her. Also a bit trickier to get good DPS since his minions have both healing spells and matarunda. White still has Arrow of God to sometimes complicate things (it's only weak damage (which I'm not a fan of however) but can still instant kill things that don't null light sometimes, even against non light-weak members. He only used it once but it can be a momentum killer if he uses it wisely). Came down to me using more of a party that nulls fire and an early Accursed Poison to set his squad back enough so he couldn't really make up for the lost of their DPS/healing in the long run. At the very least, it was nice getting to use a more creative party and not just the usual steam rollers of V's mid/late mid game. Many thanks as well for the latter bit. Thanks for that as well and hopefully I can find the time to enjoy it on a more consistent basis. Good to hear that Endurance race is done now. Hopefully the Spec B improves a bit more to keep up with your pace in the future, but other than that, good news on that front. And nice to hear you both not only having more fun with Castle Crashers, but you finding a character that suited your play style better. Also yeah, I think I've heard about that with the Blue Knight being the best, but didn't realize it was tied to an infinite combo. Sorry, it took me a moment to process that first bit with Ladislava and her transformation from Young Edelgard. That was something... At least she got a massive stealth score for that stunt as I don't think anyone expected a little girl to secretly be a fully grown woman. Also yeah, my poor boy Ashe, but at least his sacrifice snapped Dimitri out of his murder mode. On one hand, odd like you said, but Sothis replacing him fits given she's also a murdered parent whose death left another character deeply traumatized. Also I always knew Gate Keeper was BS! He has now allowed the fame, the memes, and the (probably) botted votes get to him and has go full villain, thinking he's the main character by stealing Amyr from Edelgard. At least he was taken out pathetically easy like who he replaced. Yuri continues his refusal to die with Hubert giving his thumbs up of approval from... Well I was going to say Heaven, but Hubert's probably in Hell if we're being honest lol. Also Anna being the leader of the Slithers (or at least Thales replacing Anna) oddly fits as well as I could see the Annas slowly take things over by putting other Annas in key positions, so lol there too. Great work on your brother's end and best of luck to him with the last three maps.

@@jaredfayette2567 Them being hard to frighten does help them out a lot. If you could prevent it from fleeing, that would help. I think we are better at preserving things nowadays. Also interesting that the fight is designed around those 8 press turns as well. It also sounds like it might be another postgame fight as well. It does sound like a pretty interesting fight here considering that you needed to get creative with it as well. I did just complete it and I will reveal the reward next time since it is interesting to talk about. Can't wait to do more playthroughs if my brother is up to it. It was quite the stealthy maneuverer. Maybe Sothis is also the source of Dimitri's Twin Crest powers in this playthrough as well. We always knew something was fishy with Gatekeeper and this playthrough proves it. He was Metodey in this playthrough so that is probably accurate. That and they can also control the money as well so it is a good thing we took her out. Thales is Male Byleth although that isn't too relevant in this playthrough.

As much as Fates is kind of a punching bag sometimes i do kinda want an HD port just so revelation is accessible, plus get all routes on one singular cartridge of course. (And maybe fixing the MCorrin issue by making Flora and Scarlet regular G1 characters)

A Fates remaster could be interesting. As someone's whose first non demo FE game was Fates, specifically Birthright, it would be cool to see Birthright get bumped up a bit as it feels like it's the lowest end on the Fates paths. It's not as big with the veteran crowd as Conquest and doesn't have the sandbox or golden canon end of Revelations with one of the only things it has going for it against the rest of the series being its Japanese flavoring of the series

BR is weird in that way, it just doesn't have a lot going for it but I love the Hoshidan classes. Bumping it up a bit in difficulty could work, although 80% of why it's so easy is just Ryoma.

I'd want it relocalized because "..." "..." C support achieved is NOT okay. I can say this having put over 400 hours into it and having a complete support library.

@@psirockin2251 A relocalization effort would be good for Fates. Albeit part of me wants a full on rewrite even if it's unlikely. Most likely what will happen is stuff added in later on to Fates would be put in.

Man i can't wait to see how many times i will die do to samael, at least the dragon can't sue me so that is one good thing. I really like the design of how the optional bosses are built, at least those that we have seen you fight. The karma temple hype is real

Well i have gotten almost all of the rest of the yakuza game (1-6) with 37 dollars and just cause 2 for 2 dollars. blessed steam sales. Also been playing just cause 2, it a fun sandbox game.

I can’t see Samael without thinking of the stupid one you’re given if you side with the one guy who makes the least amount of sense to side with. As a boss he has a bunch of skills. And when he is gifted to you? He is given practically nothing but Mamudoon and Mahamaon I believe. It is very stupid. I haven’t gotten around to getting SMT V Vengeance. I need to. Orochi is a unique fight and cool gimmick but also really easy to cheese. Especially if you know he is coming. Don’t have anything to say but. I just have to smile if a friend who faced the Orochi I created in Dragon Quest Monster Joker 2 saw how many turns this guy did. For reference. Orochi in DQMJ 2 when using most physical attacks hits four times and can attack up to three or four times per turn and each hit can crit. Not bad for a five headed dragon. Yes Orochi is five headed in Dragon Quest.

I'm guessing that's Nocturne? The sad part is True Demon Ending speedruns side with Hikawa there just to skip the Samael boss fight, since TDE overrides every other ending so that choice doesn't matter. (Picking it locks you out of every ending except Shijima and TDE though)

I mainly complain about it since it is the worst end game ally to get in any SMT game since everything is either immune at end game or resists and the fact the other Demons who join you like Pixie, Black Frost etc are better than if you fused your own. While Samael is just fodder or a liability

That's fitting because that opera is where the skill Freikugel gets its name from. (The devil gives the shooter 6 magic bullets that always kill their targets. The catch is the devil gets to choose who the last bullet hits.)

So wondrous news video game wise, I have now officially started Ace Attorney Dual Destinies! And what I have to say about the game is… Well, the short version: Holy moly what an INCREDIBLY STRONG start to a game! After finishing Apollo Justice, I ended up lowering my expectations for all games beyond the og trilogy (which may have played a part as to why I took so long to finally start this game). The opening case for this game blew my expectations out of the water. Let me try to gather my thoughts. Anime cutscenes and new art style… looks great actually. I will admittedly miss the old artwork, but this is a great replacement. And everyone’s models and expressions look amazing! (Except for the model where Wright is sweaty. Doesn’t look bad, just really awkward). Next we have another new lawyer in Athena. And, unlike Apollo who started off indifferent to me but grew on me overtime, Athena… kind of instantly won me over. I like her look and personality, and she reminded me of how the first cases of 1 and 4 went (her being a novice and rookie lawyer and being all nervous and stuff). She seems to kind of be Maya’s replacement I think, but to me she feels more like if Maya and Phoenix’s personalities were mixed together, but in a good way. I think her little robot thing is charming, and her “new gameplay” mechanic is actually rather captivating. Being able to read the emotions of the witnesses is so interesting, it’s like they took Apollo’s thing from the fourth game and made it more compelling and eye pleasing. And, it seems that there may be some hidden trauma to this girl, which I’m looking forward to uncovering. And I’m guessing case 2 will be a flashback case (Athena did say this was her second ever case). She really seems to be a fun and funny character. And speaking of characters… Ladies and Gentlemen… Phoenix Wright is back. I had my complaints about his character in the last game, but here, when he came to the courtroom to help out, this truly felt like Phoenix Wright. He felt a lot closer to how he did in the original trilogy, and he was able to bounce off of Athena really well. Through their interactions it really felt like they had a true teacher/student thing going on, more than I remember Wright having with Apollo in the previous game. And… that’s kind of all I have to say about Wright. As for the villain of this case… I’ll say this; they’re my favorite case 1 villain now. Well, no, let me rectify that; they’re my favorite Case 1 One Off villain ( assuming they are a one off of course, and I couldn’t do a disservice to T&T’s case 1 villain like that). I love the name pun, and it really felt like high stakes were on the line for the tail end of this case. They are also animated amazingly. The only other things I can mention before I get to my one and only nitpick; I loved the references to past games (A lot of nods to Justice for All it felt like, as well as one reference to AJ). And… something I’m super thankful for; if you get a game over (which I did once, and it actually felt like my fault as opposed to random bs) the game puts you back to where you were with A FULL HEALTH BAR! Thank you! Now I don’t have to constantly quick save if I mess up too much! And finally, while I don’t want to end on a bad note, if I had to pick ONE thing to say “negatively” about this episode… I guess would have to be how it feels like the episode just did Apollo dirty. Though even so… I can’t really complain that much because it feels like this was done by design, and it seems to hint that the next episode will show why Apollo is how he is now. But for what it’s worth from what I saw, while he isn’t being punked or unconscious, it does feel like the character has matured a bit, and it’s cool to see that he is still a part of Wright’s agency. I think it will be cool to see how he is around his peers now that he isn’t the only lawyer at the agency anymore. So, yeah, fantastic start to this game. I know this may be mean to say, but this one case alone already puts it above AA4 on my list of favorite games. I’m excited to eventually get to the next episode. I’m trying not to set my expectations high, but this first episode already set a high bar of quality in my mind. I just hope the game either stays this hype or gets better. I’d be really sad if it went the same way AA4 did for me.

Firstly, don't worry about Apollo being done dirty here. He'll get his moments later. Second, I agree with a lot of this. Athena is a great new lawyer, and I like how they split the difference and gave Phoenix back some of his old character WHILE STILL keeping his "older and wiser" mentor dynamic with the new lawyers. That's true of a lot of the returning AJ characters: they keep the best parts of both their original trilogy and AJ personalities. I LOVE the Mood Matrix. Easily my favourite courtroom gimmick. It's used in pretty creative ways later on, too, so look forward to that.

Nor appear to involve him in their plans. 19:29 Dance of Mara didn’t really replace Maralagidyne, Since not only did Mara lack a personal skill in SMT V but Maralagidyne is only in Persona 3 FES and any versions of that game released afterwards, Persona 5 Strikers and it’s only SMT appearance, SMT Imagine. 30:20 Looking it up, This was the first game with 3D models Orochi was in, 32:31 Something interesting is that Electricity and Ice being one of the few elements he isn’t immune to, those two are by far his most common weaknesses, especially the former,albeit most games that he weak to either came out after this. 33:39 You know, I’ve heard this game has a multi headed snake who has press turns equal to the amount of heads he has, but I had heard off and was thinking of something else, not Orochi, And once you’ve seen a multi headed snake with Press Turns = its amount of heads it cannot surprise you as much anymore. 36:31 Talking about Orochi losing press turns, thinking about it this game uses Press Turns way differently than other games. Despite the actual system not really changing. In regular SMT games, your going into a battle with a set up involving 3 demons of your choice who especially in the late game tend to have multiple immunities as well as having multiple demons with immunities to the same thing. Hence it is entirely possible, even without passives, that you can go into a boss fight where the boss has a chance of well either being able to do nothing during a turn because they hit a demon you have out with a single target magic attack, like how in SMT V Lahmu Final Form couldn’t do anything three turns in a row since he used Bufula on King Frost, or a boss has a multi target attack that while it might damage certain team members they loose all their Press Turns, the demons needed depends on the boss but still you can do it, Even bosses with a very high amount of Press Turns can loose a lot of them if your teams affinities match up. Here, Since everyone only has a basis Resiatnce and weaknesses, it’s harder to passively make an enemy lose Press Turn through team building, it is possible but outside of Ailment nulling anything that can make you passively take press turns are very late game. Hence I wonder if that is why the Void line of skills exists, by giving you some way to make sure you can take away press turns from opponents through immunities, albeit they have to be actively used but fulfil the same role. Also something I find intriguing is the the fact that at least 3 separate cultures have myths involving multi headed Snake monsters, While not the most complicated concept at a base lone, it’s still a specific idea that came up independently, And despite the idea not leading to the bigger variance in design, Snakes are mainly a narrow elongated tube in design The Yamata no Orochi, by comparison looks more like a mass of snakes with multiple distinct tales, has a head shape that seems to be somewhat dragon like, being thicker and more streamlined, While having some resembalance to Japanese Rat Snakes. like the shade of green he uses. Ananta, his main colour is blue, the heads starting splaying out halfway across his body which also has a bracer and cloth covering, plus his multiple heads resemble Cobra’s and the scintifific name for the Indian Cobra is derived from Naga, which Ananta is. Hydra has a rather thick and fat body like a Boa Constrictor with the heads coming out of the side of his body rather than having a mass of snakes or having a defined neck that all come out off, Doi has even made comments that his look is inspired by Greek Pottery and him having bronze face masks is meant to reference the idea that he blindly thrashes around by impulse, like how he would blindly destroy villages in his mythology.

and Death finally, at least this isn't like Devil May Cry that you start on Normal Difficulty and if you die 3 Times Easy Mode Unlocks as almost a way the game is Passively Aggressively telling you that you suck, at least this is how it is with DMC3 i don't remember how it is for the other games in the series

The other games don’t troll you like DMC 3. At least not with difficulty. DMC 3 is the only one with a difficulty unlock from dying three times because the devs wanted to play a prank. I know that probably isn’t the reason I think it is funnier to think they wanted to prank everyone outside Japan.

DMC1 also does, though not quite as passive-aggressively. If you die on the first level, then once you beat it, you get the opportunity to swap to easy mode. And it also locks any NG+ off that playthrough to easy. If you want to unlock hard difficulty, you need to start the new game on normal.
