The main topic of THE thesis is the development of a digital form-finding gridshell design tool, by a real time simulation of THE material system's behavior as well as the kinematic construction process, which consists in the bending of an initial flat grid to reach the final resistent shape.

Hi, I am an architect preparing my structural engineering master thesis on a similar subject. Is it possible to get a copy of the thesis related to this project? Any additional information on the analysis of this structure would be of great help. Did you run any type of nonlinear analysis?

Hi, we used Rhinocerso with grasshopper and kangaroo - karamba addons. With these tools we developed a generative algorithm tool that models the real world behavior of timber post-formed gridshells

well Grasshopper+kangaroo, and then abaqus to test the structure stiffness
