@@MuhammadAnsar if one input is connected to vcc and then its short circuit wire is in glass ...when water is in contact it becomes ground ...then how input becomes ground despite vcc

Hi! I exactly have the same problem, when i'm plugging the battery the cathode has no display, have you resolve it?

@@chikshaligane1506 The only smart solution is to add BJTs (transistors) to the wires attached at tank to increase the current flow to the inputs of IC... this is due to low conductive behavior of water because amount of current flow in water is very small which is not sufficient to operate the ICs.
