Thanks for the video buddy! I've started working for a wedding company and I get the complaints you mention in the video, that people can't hear me, because you are absolutely correct. The mic I use is a about worth $15 and the crowd is so noisy and I usually have the music pumped up near full volume, just doing everything wrong. I like all your suggestions, turn the volume down a bit, and speak more slowly. I think you showed me how to solve my problem! Thank you!

not entirely, some events have their own organizers and their are the one's who do the work speaking on the microphone

hi Phil just herd of some of the tips about using the head phones as a mic nice tip and how to market myself I will see the rest of your tips on djing. I dj and improvize with percussion instruments i find winamp easy to use and I also tried virtual dj do you have any suggestions of what esle is on the market as far as programs and what gain programs is there so my music stays at the same level because i would be to buisy performing on my percussions to stop to turn down the level. please advise. Thanks and well done.

Hey Phil, I am using a DDJ-SB and it only has 1/4 mic input. My Behringer microphone has xlr out, so I have a xlr to 1/4 cable which I plug into my controller but it gives me either no or very low poor quality sound. I have the volume on the controller all the way up. Can you help me?

you need a mic preamp or a mixer in between. the DDJ-SB doesn't have enough power to properly run a microphone with them.

Then I don't believe you can, that controller has EQ for the mic but no effects

It's not uncommon, if you're a mobile DJ for example you're most likely using an external mixer for your microphone which will have FX, obviously now loads of us are streaming so the mic features become more of a priority :)

@@digitaldjtips oh ok well I got a numark mixtrack pro 3 and I tried a Phillips SBC MD110 on it.It works when I plug it the numark to the speakers but when I do a recording,you would just hear the song not the what I said on the mic. Any solutions?

@@digitaldjtips well I just plug it,go on serato,record as a mix and I no sound from mic,I tried downloading the driver for the mic but can't install it but how u mean

That makes sense, the mic is going from the controller straight to the output so hitting record in your software won't capture it. You could record the voiceover afterwards or buy an interface you can run your output to (like the iRig Stream which also has a mic input)
