*hot tips for you guys* Pioneer DJM mixers you need to have you channels below -6db (pref. -6 to -12db) PER CHANNEL to make sure it doesn't distort through the recorder as the main MASTER volume is NOT an accurate representation of the signal going into the recorder. On some mixers the mic output isn't routed to the booth or the record out only the master out. The xone92 being one. So if you want that mic included in the recording your going to have to use the master out as the recording take off.

you forgot to mention the Tascam or Zoom portable recorders. I have a Tascam DR-40, and after updating the firmware, I've got it to record at the right levels from the record out. can also with the DR-40 record a second stereo pair from the microphones at the same time as the output from the mixer. later on after the recording, you can edit to blend the live sound of the crowd/dancefloor with the set played.

But its actually a hardware MP3 creator. You just run your audio in and out of it, and it rips an MP3 @ 320kb direct to a microSD card. @digitaldjtips4 жыл бұрын
The "male" end needs to have the four metal rings/three black rings (TRRS) and the female end needs to be TRS. Rode SC4 is a good reference - look at the pictures of that one , and get one similar.
@jacobl37804 жыл бұрын
@@house-techplatform7636 This is exactly why I am saying the video needs to be edited/removed. If you follow the TRRS to TRS adapter (Not what you need) link in the description it takes you to a page for a TRS to TRRS adapter (what you DO need). Even in the video he incorrectly states the type of adapter you need. All of the information presented (besides the actual link) is incorrect. What is the use of the video if it does not accurately present the required information? I'm sure he knows what the cable is that is required but terminology is incredibly important when they are two different products.

@@adriansantos811 That would ALSO be mono, as it STILL goes in through the headphone jack mic input.
