Hello sir,Thank you for your great work .I have a doubt,sir how do you fix to see whether it's a one tailed or two tailed to see in the table
@DigitalELearning
@DigitalELearning 7 ะฐะน ะฑาฑั€ั‹ะฝ
To determine if a statistical test is one-tailed or two-tailed, examine your hypothesis. If it specifies a direction (greater or less than), it's one-tailed. If it's about a difference without specifying direction, it's two-tailed. Use the appropriate critical values from the table based on your hypothesis type.

Hello, I want to know that is T distribution a sampling distribution? If it is than why this curve getting flatter? For sampling distribution we know that if n increases the variance will decrease.
@DigitalELearning
@DigitalELearning 7 ะฐะน ะฑาฑั€ั‹ะฝ
Yes, the T distribution is a sampling distribution. The T distribution becomes flatter as degrees of freedom increase. Despite increased sample size reducing variance, the T distribution's flattening reflects increased certainty about the population mean due to larger sample sizes, leading to values closer to the population mean.

Hi Reetika, First of all apologies for late reply. See we are talking about "Population distribution is Unimodal and Skewed " . Unimodal means it has a single peak or a single "bump" or hump in the shape of the distribution. and Skewed means its not symmetrical around its central point (mean, median, or mode).

When we look at the t-table, in column section, there are 2 options, one-tail and two-tails. My question is, how do we know that whether it is one or two tail test? Please comment..
@kaviyas9531
@kaviyas9531 10 ะฐะน ะฑาฑั€ั‹ะฝ
It's depends upon the hypothesis you formulate. Suppose in this video at first numerical question sir took one tail because our alternative hypothesis said that our mu should be greater than 40 so it will come on only one tail. But if u consider on 2nd question mu is not equal to zero so we should consider this as mu less than zero or mu greater than zero so here we will use two tail test

Knowing whether to use a one-tail or two-tail test depends on your hypothesis. Imagine you flip a coin. - One-tail test: You predict it will land on heads. You only need to look at the "heads" side of the coin. - Two-tail test: You don't know which side it will land on. You need to look at both sides of the coin. I hope your query is now clear
