Hey, need your input here. I bought the D416 and pretty happy with the illumination, but totally disappointed with battery performance and time it takes to recharge. Could you recommend a light that I could plug into the mains and not be dependent on batteries. Appreciate any pointers. Need these lights for videos.

Any idea how big is the 520wb vs 416 difference in lumens is only 200 3600 vs 3800 price is almost identical .. 200 rs here and there what do you recommend

Hey i need some suggestions on this..should i get this or digitek ringlight 18inches...but this looks more handy..btw i do content creation and a makeup artist so i need something good for shooting my videos..so that i dont get harsh light on my face while content creation

I have both. I use the ring light in front of my face as it is much softer and flattering. I use this light as a harsher rim light just behind my shoulders to give me a highlighted look. 🙂👍🏼 This is the one I use - amzn.to/3rFJnjI

The product description on Amazon says this is this light provides 3800 lm but the product package itself says it is 2880 lm. Why is the big difference?

As you mentioned it's a harsh light and not diffused , will we get shadows like how we would get when shot under sunlight?

Yes, if you keep the brightness above 50%, you'll get some rather noticeable shadows, though not as harsh as midday sun.

D520 is a bigger LED panel with barn doors to direct the light better. It doesn't come with a battery, but seems like a better light for the price - amzn.to/3QZEKbV

I'm prettt sure you can buy a spare battery online, but I haven't checked myself. And yes, this light is bright enough to be used outdoors at night.

This is bright but is a little unbalanced because of its shape. You need to keep this on a separate tripod. If you want something that mounts on the camera itself, consider the Simpex 180: amzn.to/3sg8t3a Slightly expensive but more balanced.

You will need to diffuse this light using a flash box or a cloth in front. I used one of those camera flash boxes (amzn.to/3Js15wI), cut them open a bit and installed them on there using some included velcro. That softenes the light a bit. But remember, the bigger the diffuser, softer the light. For beginners, I recommend a ring light. It's slim, easy to carry, bright, and comes with a good diffuser on it. I used this one from digitek as my key light before getting my current professional gear. amzn.to/49SkiSR

Can v charge while using the light?

It only charges at 5V, so it wouldn't charge fast enough while being used. It'll probably only increase heat, so I don't recommend using it like that.

Yes, you can plug a smartphone charger with a micro USB cable into the battery and use it when low on charge.

You can charge it, but it won't charge up very fast if the light is on. It may even heat up a bit. You better remove or switch the light off when charging to preserve the battery's health.

Sometimes, the charging can slow down a lot if the battery is getting hot. Try disconnecting it for a few minutes and plug it back in.

Well, the battery seems to be around 5200 mAh capacity. That's about the same as the D416. Given that this is a bigger light, it'll produce higher brightness but may need to be recharged more often.

The recharge speed is not that great, so I wouldn't advise doing that as it will just heat up the battery.

I shoot in 21:9 but upload in 18:9 for KZfaq, because it doesn't support cinemawide resolution🙂

I very much liked your review on this LED panel as well as the RGB light. Finally very happy to see no Nonsense video on these lights as well as deeply saddened to that you are not getting the reach you deserve. People buy sunguns/halogens & other products (simpex, sonia, Harison) and put Best light for KZfaq/Best light for video Review. All they just do is Unboxing. Video will be shit since they are at auto White Balance, no color correction (even basic) etc. I'm a production consultant. People fall for these shitty videos & assume they are the best & buy it. I pray that you rise high enough.

It will but only during morning or evening hours. During noon, the sunlight will be too bright and this light's 3600 Lumens won't be enough.

The D520WB is a little better. It's a bit brighter at 3800 Lumens max, and has reflector shades to direct the light better. Go for it if you can cover the price difference 🙂👍🏻
