This is incredible and as someone who is working on wearable helmets, a scanner like this would be extremely useful for sizing and modeling reference

@@jasperjanderson and what I also appreciate is showing how to use it in a real world scenario. I'm aware of the infrared nature of this device and it will ONLY be used inside. I'll have to resort to photogrammetry for anything outdoors

@@KRGraphicsCG theoretically is should be useable outside, but it seems that if it’s too bright, it is a problem

@@jasperjanderson I'll have to figure out a way to be able to scan outdoors, aside from lowering the exposure or scan on an overcast day. Infrared is best at night

You said they give 10% off and you will also give 12% off on top. was going to buy but i can only sellect 10% or 12% can you help so can get the 22% off. was also going to buy the large turntable as well.

I didn’t know what the discount was going to be when I recorded the video, so I left it at “an additional discount” in my script. I believe it’s just an extra 2%, so the 12% is a combined discount, as far as I understand it. Sorry it’s not more, but thanks so much for using my code!

can you share your aprox computer specs. I really want to get this scanner, but I am not quite sute if my pc specs would be good enough. Thanks for the review.

I’m using an M1 MacBook Pro in this demo. I imagine there are recommended specs on Revopoint’s website.

Just unboxed and spent an hour trying to scan something. It is not that simple. This thing may be over glorified. :(

There is a learning curve to getting consistent results. I've been using these scanners for a couple years, so I have gotten a head start. Also keep in mind that some things are harder to scan than others based on color, geometry, and ambient light. You might practice on a known scannable object to get your bearings.

Yeah don't believe all the influencer hype on these. I've got a POP3 and while it can do some stuff, most KZfaq videos make it look way more competent than it actually is.
