Only Dilbert could turn a prison into a business; and make it profitable

clearly you haven't heard of private prisons

Prisons are basically slave labor. You don’t get more profitable than that.

I hate how the boss caused destruction and death and had Dilbert sent to jail. But I can’t deny that I’m enjoying the prison business scenario.

So does that mean that Dilbert was a closet Republican?

@cityhawk all Republicans are closeted until they get caught at a gay bar or with their paid femboy, of course

WOW! We need Dilbert for creating job and turning every Prison into a legal profitable business. :-)
@SaintSaintАй бұрын
Yeah... unfortunately every prison job is "legal and profitable" because the labor is unexpensed/enslaved and the costs are footed by the taxpayers. But I agree... it would be nice if they actually could keep some substantial measure of that money for savings once they had served their time. Then recidivism would be more muted. I think that's what you're driving at. We have to be precise when we speak to our legislators. Legislators aren't evil, but we the public are very stupid/lazy and often don't/"can't" testify at committee or handwrite a message to our representatives. TLDR: Stop imprisoning people for dumb things in the USA. Stop profiting from their labor. Source: I was a programmer for my state's Department Of Corrections. Now I work as a programmer for Legislature.

Also.... lobbyists are sometimes quite evil. Yeah. You need to at least TRY to compete with them. Politicians don't need to be bought, because it's cheaper to trick them.

Depends on whether or not they, or corporations, outsourced. Markets work, but only if you keep them local. Otherwise, the market will self adjust and degrade the quality of the super standard, while simultaneously increasing the quality of the inferior standard. Long story short, America is rapidly becoming a 3rd world country.

Is the cost of escape tools an elastic or inelastic demand?

Given the close deadline for the escape and the product being a essential part of the deadline I would say it's elastic
