After their win, all independent, BJP and Congress winners were invited to Kohima by the top brass of the NDPP (namely Abu Metha and co.). The NDPP asked the winners to join their alliance and offered to clear all of their expenses during the election.

Respected Sir, Sentinuklu Jamir, the news of you joining NDPP came as a shock to us but we believe you'll stand firm on your promises. Please dont break our hearts but let your good deeds make us love you more. As you know most of our Naga people dont favour BJP and NDPP and now you're planning to join NDPP. This may be a big disappointment to your supporters but as human beings we're imperfect beings and i hope you also understand that most of your supporters didnt take any amount of money from you during this ULB election because they trusted you and will still continue to have faith in you but please remember that you have people behind you who look up to you as a sincere and humble person.
