Molti trovano che per Adagio « Dimash esagera »… dimenticano che era un contest molto arduo, lui straniero di 22 anni confrontato a stars cinesi famosissime (Sandy Lam, per esempio, è considerata la Barbara Streisand cinese…). E poco prima, dopo avere cantato Uptown Funk di Bruno Mars, era quasi stato eliminato. Allora ha cantato Adagio, come se la sua vita ne dipendesse. Ed ha vinto quella puntata (la n°6) con Adagio, come ha vinto la prima con SOS d’un terrien en détresse e la seconda con Opera 2…il resto è storia. I am English and I speak no other languages. Yet I have never been bothered by the mispronounced words in this performance. He didn't even speak English at this stage. I had to pause you video a few times because I couldn't read the subtitles because tears blurred my vision! And you paid Dimash the compliment of equally noting his emotional and technical interpretation of Adagio. I never tire of your detailed analysis Giacomo. I think the only reason that Dimash can give himself over emotionally is such an intense way and not lose technical precision, is owing to his incredible devotion to practise over the years. With less application, one aspect would surely suffer for the other. Yet he is able to reach dizzying heights with both simultaneously! We are so lucky to be living in his lifetime. hola jack, yo hablo ingles, frances y tambien español y a traves de los años como educador que soy me he dado cuenta que lo importante del idioma no es que tan perfecto lo hablas o lo pronuncia sino la comunicacion y a pesar de que en ese entonces la pronunciacion del ingles de Dimash no era excelente si se le entendia muy bien. Ahora el ingles de Dimash es mucho mejor en todos los aspecto, tanto es asi que puede mantener una conversacion totalmente en ingles en una entrevista . Ademas de que se puede notar su excelente pronunciacion en canciones como; ACROSS ENDLES DIMENSIONS, FLY ALWAY, SCREAMING, BE WITH ME, GIVE ME YOUR LOVE, entre otras. Tambien Dimash canta en 15 idiomas y en muchos de ellos su pronunciacion es impecable como por ejemplo el mandarin, el japones y el español que no son idiomas faciles de pronunciar. Y que bueno que compartes eso. Esta presentación de Dimash me deja cada vez como si fuera la primera vez que la escucho, me mueve todo, me ENCANTA, pues me parece que refleja todo lo que él es, y él es Música, ama la música, la lleva en sus entrañas y lo muestra en cada canción, en cada frase, es increíble. Y en cuanto al idioma, si, como ya han dicho otros acá, en esa competencia él no hablaba NADA de inglés, sin embargo ahí lo hace, no con tan buena pronunciación, pero igual nos lo dió todo. Tampoco hablaba chino, y también lo hizo, y quedamos igual de satisfechos. Para él fue muy difícil, y bueno ahora ha mejorado muchísimo su inglés. Pura vida🇨🇷❤️🇰🇿

Yes, many of his fans are worried about his knees {including me!} So much so - Chinese fans regularly meet him at airports etc. with gift packs of protective knee pads! Which I can see no sign of him wearing in performances. Reports are he's so careful of his 'instrument' - particularly his diaphragm strength and lung capacity - I do wish he would take the same care with his knees. ( Knee replacement surgery is not always successful... and to my mind - having worked in orthopaedic rehabilitation - that little bit of extra artistic emphasis is not worth potential lifelong disability.) Meanwhile, many are surprised to see Dimash at the piano, but he does play multiple instruments, and I gather won his first piano competition aged 8! Part of the magic is how he pours so much of himself into his performances and you can frequently see everyone - including yourself! - holding their breath WITH him on those long notes. Usually running out of air long before he does! 😊😆🤣

I heard that Lara was so overwhelmed with emotions and in tears when they showed her this performance.. great artists recognize each other from eternity i guess..

I've never understood this attachment, or commitment to the original song become so important. If the 'original' artist did it one way that is how they see or hear it going in connection with their voice. I've heard, just like now, you checking if he was singing it in the same key, as if it was different it would somehow be a black mark against their cover of the song. Now Dimash is in a unique position in that he can sing it in multiple keys either higher or lower. There is a young singer from Kazakhstan named Daneliya Tuleshova who has a conventional range. She has a voice that is lower than most has had one since she was 10. Every time she sings a cover that some people are quick to cry "foul, foul" if she starts the song a half note below what the original was sung at as if she is cheating or something. My opinion is she has the best natural singing voice since Karen Carpenter in tone and timbre'. She also has a heartbreakingly beautiful head-voice. It is so crystalline and fragile and yet is strong and defiant in it's vulnerability. Daneliya also has a latent cry in her voice that really accentuates the emotional depth she gets when the song calls for it. She is normally very expressive but that is achieved so subtly you know it's there you're just not sure how. Well I'm not sure what my point was. If you find one let me know what it was. Por esta razon todos eran mucho mayores que Dimash hasta de 50 años participando. El no solo fue un inviado extrangero sino el mas joven con 22 años en la historia del programa. Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly". This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonate, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace. The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and give his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself. The classic music piece is globally famous and was translated into a pop song for Lara. She wrote lyrics in english and italian for it and is the original performer. Este "Adagio" es una obra docta instrumental llamada Adagio en Sol Menor para órgano y cuerdas (también se le conoce como Adagio de Albinoni ya que por mucho tiempo se pensó que había sido compuesta por Tomaso Albinobi, compositor italiano del período barroco). Fué compuesta en 1945 por Remo Giazzoto, musicólogo y compositor italiano, no es de la cantante belga Lara Fabian, ella sólo le puso letra a esta pieza clásica. Es una obra bellísima y muy emotiva. Te recomiendo (y a todos) escucharla. Je ne me souviens plus si c'est Montaigne qui a dit quelque chose comme : tout ce que je sais, c'est que je ne sais rien. C'est une paraphrase, mais qui décrit assez bien mon état d'âme après avoir entendu cette époustouflante renditon de Dimash d'Adagio.J'ignorais que c'était une chanson de Lara Fabian, pour qui j'ai la plus haute considération. Néanmoins, après avoir entendu Dimash, on peut à peine concevoir la version de Lara Fabian. Comme tu l'as démontré avec un brio inégalable, cete chanson, qui est difficile pour une foix féminine, s'avère plus complexe encore pour une voix masculine. Mais doit-on qualifier la voix de Dimash comme une voix "masculine?. Ce chanteur d'exception défie tous les entendements, et comme tu as qualifié sa voix ailleurs, Dimash est "angélique"... Quoi qu'il en soit et quelle que soit la composition à laquelle il s'attelle, Dimash opère de multiples ajustements de registres, si savants et si alambiqués que la nouvelle composition, transcendée, n'a plus guère de similarités avec l'original. C'est là la marque d'un véritable génie. En ce qui concerne sa prononciation en anglais, tu as complètement raison : elle laisse beaucoup à désirer, mais cela importe -t-il? Qu'il chante en japonais, en anglais ou en français, la langue importe peu, et il n'y a vraiment que lorsqu'il s'attaque à l'hideux hymne national kazakh (orth?) que la langue s'impose, hélas! alors que toutes les autres qualités s'étiolent irrévocablement. Jai souri quand, dans une effort de décrire ce qui se passait, tu as, sans trop y réussir décrit Dimash comme "un homme qui chante comme une femme". Justement, ce n'est pas un homme qui chante comme une femme mais qui chante comme un "ange". Pourtant, c'est dans ces sphères que Dimash se situe : c'est un chanteur de sexe masculin, mais qui qui chante non avec une voix, mais avec des voix kaléidoscopiques de castrato, de baryton, de ténor, de chanteur pop, de chanteur rock, de soprano....Comme tu le dis si bien : il crée des hrmoniques, des pianissimos, des élans lyriques non encore inventés. Il se perd dans des notes aigües inaccessibles, au-delà de tous les sommets : des "mélismes" as-tu dit? Sans doute s'agit-il d'un mot technique que j'ignore... A la fin, quand cet homme en costume de ville (aucun exotisme dans ce costume bleu) qui soudain se jette à genoux avec une telle passion sur la scène au point de se casser les rotules, on atteint à un paroxysme rarement atteint. Dimash se donne jusqu'au bout, emporté pas ses émotions. C'est saisissant, renversant. Ce que l'on aimerait savoir, c'est ce qui se cache derrière cet emportement qui tient du délire? Considero personalmente, questa, la performance di Dimash più emozionante e tu ne hai colto le motivazioni, a me piace dire che l'ha eseguita da Italiano o cmq da latino. Come fa quando si butta a terra o quando fa movimenti bruschi col corpo, a non compromettere il cantato?

Hablas del inglés,de la pronunciación,se que es de alguna forma algo sin tanta importancia,pero se la diste, porque creo debes saber que era un reality dónde en menos de una semana debían aprender la canción,y el inglés de el era aprendido por fonética,hoy debes haberlo escuchado y sabrás que ya hasta lo habla fluido,ahora simplemente cuando tú idioma no es lo que vas a cantar,es mucho más difícil por eso,creo que el idioma pasa a segundo o tercer término, en cuanto a su interpretación es tremenda,su voz hermosa y creo que aparte del idioma no hay algo en lo que se le pueda decir nada,es excelentísimo,se ve que lo admiras eso no se necesita decir,se nota de inmediato,y nosotros sus dears nos emociona saberlo,y ver su actuación es una obra de arte en cada canción,saludos desde México 💯👏❤️🌹😍
