Dimash is not from Russia however he can speak the language fluently. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He is kazakh He performs songs in 17 languages; Russian, English, Mandarin, Sicilian, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Arabic ,French, German, Serbian, Turkish,Ukrainian, Cantonese, Armenian, Kyrgyz,and Japanese. Besides his native Kazakh tongue. He speaks fluent Russian, which is still an official language in most former Soviet Republics. Dimash is getting pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin, which he says is a challenging language to learn. Dimash plays six instruments; the piano, dombra, guitar, xylophone, cello, and drums. In this show, it's a competition and to stay in the show he must get the audience to rise up and clap and shout ( which is strange) but seemingly that equates to talent. Dimash is a one man musical. The ability to mix styles and tones allows him to do a full musical by himself. Every character could be unique, AWESOME!!!!!!

You must be getting hundreds of Dimash recommendations right now, but I think you would really appreciate Sinful Passion, the shaping and emotion of every note, and towards the end what he does with one breath will blow your mind 🤯

One thing I wanted to add about Dimash-he does act completely different when he's in his own concert. You saw a small portion of Stranger, which was his concert, but he was sick then and you saw only the one song. At most of his concerts he jumps around, dances, runs and all other actions. He constantly has the audience sing with him. He frequently goes on the floor and sings and shakes hands (when his security lets him, lol). His concerts are usually about 3 hrs long and almost always sell out, even though the venues are sometimes large (40,000 was his one in Turkey last month on his 30th birthday). I just thought I'd give you a little bit of Dimash that you don't see on the video's you've seen (though I'm glad you did see those). I have the feeling we'll be seeing City of Sound in concert arenas soon

Spot on about his transitions. Another thing that amazes me is his ability to sing in so many different languages. Each language is very different and requires immense amounts of work to be able to pull it off and actually sound good. Having to learn things like tongue position and vowels and consonants in each language is a daunting task. It is always interesting to see native speakers react to Dimash when he is singing in their language.

Thanks for your reaction. Dimash won his first piano competition at 6 years old. Prodigy with absolute pitch. There’s an interview where they say at 5-6 years old he said he didn’t like his piano at home (that was moved) because the sound bothered his ears. It was out of tune. 😊 Your knowledge, talent and way of communication is impressive (love your rings)

I absolutely agree. There is no better singer in the world today that can compete with Dimash on a technical level - he’s truly outstanding. He can move between all 7 octaves flawlessly (check out Unforgettable Day where he hits a D8 on his knees, bent over no doubt)…just insane! I recommend Your Love for vocal dynamics & key changes - also his Gaku (spelt wrong) performance of the Diva Dance is a fun one 🙂 Great rreaction!

Great reaction! Dimash practice his singing 3 hours a day, except for his concert days. Very disciplined. Dimash IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD. Totally at another level. If you want to see Dimash play instruments and sing, you should check out his recent released "Omir" in which he sing, play the piano while accompanied by his brother Mansur on guitar. I got attached to Dimash from the SINGER 2017. In 2018 from the SINGER show I discovered Hua Chenyu from China. I just watched his incredible SUNRISE MARS CONCERT. He had an attendance of 130,000 . Dimash just kills everything he sings. ADAGIO was one of my favorites. He is even better in Person. Saw him in 2019. WOW. Strange comparison but ELVIS is the only other entertainer who has affected me like that. Love to attend one of your concerts.

Hola. Has de saber que Dimash toca piano desde los 5 años de edad, lo hace muy bien, y además toca el Dombra que es un instrumento Kasajo, la guitarra, batería, xilófomo y otros. Él es multiinstrumestista. Es un joven muy preparado. Licenciado en canto lírico y contemporáneo, tiene una maestría en composición, un doctorado en musicología, es todo un músico, un artista completo la verdad. Debes ver su presentación de la canción Dudarai, es genial, fue en China en el programa Belleza y Armonía. Es genial, y toca el Dombra y el teclado.
