Dimash hasn't done that many covers which I'm actually quite grateful for as I'm definitely not a fan of the rather lazy way of getting yourself noticed by singing an already well known song. If I want to listen to a song I'll always go for the original version. Dimash however is different in that respect as he always changes it and makes it his own, it sounds like something you've never heard before. There are a lot of his performances that don't need a filter, but ive noticed it can be hit or miss depending on the copyright laws in different countries. I'd really love to see you react to War and Peace 2021 from the digital show. I don't think ive ever seen a reactor have to cover up that one?

The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500. Dimash Qudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside). They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. You might have to get used to those incredibly high notes. 😊 Dimash does like to include some of the most incredible high notes I've ever heard in his songs. Part of the mind-blowing is almost expecting some of those notes to be too high or to have a cringe effect. He seems to be perfect EACH time, which is wild. We endearingly call his speech "D-inglish". When he was on the show I am singer back in 2017, he hadn't sung in English before if I'm not mistaken. He had 1 week to learn the words to each song, and he sang in multiple languages over the course of the show. He tries to sing 1 song in the native language of each country where he performs a show. He's a Polyglot on several, but can learn the words to songs, and sing them, without any mistakes and that's in addition to the whole show itself. He's a perfectionist and practices every waking moment. You never hear him silent.
