Yes, it will move you to tears, just like many others listening. You believe him. He was only 22 years old at the time. This song was a Lara Fabian song that he covered. Lara Fabian was very impressed with his rendition. He sang with such pure voice and tenderness and yet with such power that he unleashed. Not enough words in the world to describe Dimash. He had scored quite low in round 5 with Uptown Funk and was in danger of being voted off the show. Not everyone agrees which is better of course....but I think most people gravitate toward this one as it is the one most reacted to. I know I do. He starts quietly with a delicate piano and intimate angelic falsetto...and then to a burst of full on chest voice. The music rises and we follow as he ascends in key and intensity and you wonder how is he going to see this through? With each step you think thats got to be the limit. But it isnt. He keeps going. Even ramping up the power until you just hold on unsure if he can really make that crest when the time comes. But he does. Without a bump, a wobble or weak note. We are relieved, grayeful, proud and happy. Then without a good moments breath....launches us up to the heavens with absolute strength and purity to deliver a beautiful angelic coup de gras. Otic bliss. Thank you again for listening. Your natural response said it all. ❤ A person has to not only be driven to refine such a skill....but to instintively conceive of what, when, where, and how to shape his instrument. And...have the guts to totally go for broke. That is performing without a net. courage in impresses. So glad you’re going to check this out, too. I’m particularly fond of the “I Am a Singer” performances. Dimash always looked so confident, and it took awhile before I saw any behind the scenes footage. In particular, the “SOS” performance (my fav), I finally saw him lined up in the hall before being introduced. He was clinching his fist and looked absolutely terrified. That was his first performance on the show, and as the youngest, he was required to go first-he was the youngest and a wildcard foreigner in a competition of Chinese professionals. When he came onto the stage, it was like he transformed. There was not a hint of nerves. He looked absolutely IN HIS ELEMENT! Dimash is such an amazing performer, almost otherworldly-maybe alien or angel . . . Who knows? I can’t control my intrigue.

This version of Adagio is priceless, the emotion he put at this presentation is incredible. One of my favorites covers by him. Another is "My heart will go on" from the movie "Titanic" original sang by Celine Dion and also Queen Medley with Super Vocal Boys

Well, I can see that you are going to need the super-sized box of tissues when you watch Dimash sing "Marigolds," in honor of his proud mother who is sitting in the audience and responding emotionally. I'll be watching for it!

Here Dimash is only 23 years old. It’s amazing how his young soul experiences so much passion, pain, drama. He has a mature soul since childhood.

When you get to The Story of One Sky he will bring you to tears and Omir Mood video where you get a window into his journey from infancy to now and his thoughts. The words are incredibly beautiful. It is almost like a prayer. I actually believe it is a prayer in his heart about his life , how much he loves and appreciates it and how he prays to not make mistakes etc. There are two versions of Omir. One is a video with very moving clips of his journey as a performer. The other is just Dimash and his younger brother. Dimash on piano and vocals and Mansur on the acoustic guitar. Both are incredible. When you get to them you will be moved.
