I am also English, and might I say that his accent is not really noticeable, whereas your accent is very strong. My Engkish ear immediately noticed your very strong Australian accent, but the day this song premiered, I was struck by just how perfect his English language skills were and that he was singing in perfect, non accented English. So I must say I find it odd that you say he has a strong accent . Maybe just listen to his beautiful vocal skills and soothing voice. Put on the subtitles if you really are unable to understand his words. He learned to speak English in 2 years, and he stopped having translators in 2021 and could carry on a decent conversation, give speeches, and joke with his friends in English. A language that is nothing like the two other languages he is fluent in. English was a mystery to him apart from hello, and my name is Dimash until 2019. He is a quick learner, and I am proud of him for his efforts.

He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Qobyz for that. The Qobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. In the end of Stranger he introduced him to the audience and he thanked them. As a Kazakh he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable. Stranger was written by the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him.The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. Really, HIS ccent is a strong here? I dont think so, I am English and his English is very good. He continues to improve, in speaking, and singing in, now, 16 languages. Do you or anyone you know do that? Btw you also have an accent, as do lots of people, which is understandable of course, if English is not their native language.
