Modern Life for the 70's Mind

Күн бұрын

Some things in life are hard to describe because they're just so incredibly good that there aren't any sufficient words to describe it. This is one of those moments. This artist's singing range is just out of this world. You need to hear this.
Welcome to my “Modern Life for the 70's Mind” KZfaq Channel. On this channel, I not only take a look at the songs and history that made us who we are today, but also introduce you to today's modern music as well. Any songs that combine the two are always a winner. I've always loved music and have always tried to keep a balance between the classic music I fell in love with and today's MUCH DIFFERENT sounds. Here's we'll analyze both. We’ll even take some time and revisit some of the old parts of our past that have disappeared from today’s shelves and most people’s memories, I call it Bob's Cabinet of Curiosities. Let’s relive those moments together! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking time out of your day to check in. I appreciate it more than I can say here.

I have led a pop music obsessed life since the 1950's including owning and operating a music retail store specializing in pop singles for 30 years. My love of the music of the past 70 years has molded my life but then my life changed dramatically after discovering Dimash five years ago. All of that most important music of my life became a whole lot less important. Dimash's incredible range of genres encompasses everything from opera to rap, the complexity and creativity of his music is compelling, and his voice and stage presence are unlike anyone who ever came before him. These days it's all Dimash, all the time. For more masterpieces, go directly to "Olimpico," "Adagio 2017," and "Across Endless Dimensions."

Dimash is the most complete voice in the history of music, right now you haven't seen anything, this is just the tip of the iceberg, if you keep listening to him you'll realize why he's the best and I'm not saying I, say experts from around the world, there is not and there was no other voice like dimash's, just to give you an idea, he has sung in 15 languages which adds difficulty due to the phonetics of each language he sings opera, jazz, pop, rock, blues, rap, folk, opera, classic, crossover, he is a multi-instrumentalist, so far he has been seen playing 7 instruments, he is a composer, arranger, director, dancer his vocal range allows him to sing in all tessituras, both for men and women, to make a cover of one of his songs, at least three people are needed and some more and not Anyone would have to bring together the best voices from different musical genres, for example: Pavaroti in opera, Freddy Mercury in rock, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, etc. and as if that is not enough, the young man is humble, simple, charitable, intelligent with a very pure heart and very solid moral values that today we almost believed extinct, he did not care He likes that his dears (that's how he baptized his fans) talk a lot about this but I think it's important that more people know about it, he does charitable charities, in most of his concerts he donates a lot part of his money and in many countries there are people who are doing charitable organizations in his honor since with his example of love he is achieving many positive things, for this reason in the In 2020 he was appointed and decorated as an ambassador of peace and friendship, the most incredible thing is that despite being offered multimillion-dollar contracts, he has not wanted to sell himself to anyone so that they do not limit and be able to continue giving us these works of art, the disadvantage is that for this reason there is no television or radio advertising, all his fame is due 100% to youtube and his dears that They selflessly share his videos, make reports, translate his songs or rather adapt them, this man is beautiful on the outside but he is more so on the inside that is why he is so dear and respected, on his official channel (kzfaq.info/love/GBxbj_RMKB22rhJnK9qReg) there are reports and interviews, I invite you to go and learn a little more about all the changes that this young man is making musically in the world, it is a delight to see him express himself with so much love to the world. PS: He is just 27 years old, imagine what he can become in the next 5/10 years, since he is still improving (although it seems impossible). Cheers! Simply the best vocalist of all time... No one has mastered so many registers at this level in one person. It is not only that he dominates all the registers and the vocal range The most widespread thing he has is that perhaps he is even one of the best singers in the world within each register, he is a spectacular baritone, an impressive tenor, and has a soprano voice that many opera singers already wanted, not to mention the infinite resources that he uses such as melismas, growls, runs, whistles... It's really... I've never seen anything like it, we could to be talking about someone who will surely talk about him in 500 years like Beethoven, Mozart, da Vinci, etc... PS: He has a degree in classical music and a master's degree in composition and doctorate in musicology. Everyone who listens to Dimash is affected differently. Some are energized and uplifted, others are totally mesmerized and experience loss of speech and sometimes their senses, some are taken to another world and find it hard to come down and touch the ground again, some fall instantly in love with the greatest singer of all time, some are aided mentally and/or physically by their magical power to alleviate illness and yet some are sadly goaded by uncomfortable feelings of envy and jealousy. But no one remains indifferent to this phenomenal artist who appears once every thousand years. Dimash is a sight to behold and the greatest treasure for all mankind.

Thank you for your wonderful reaction. Dimash is absolutely incredible. He is the best technically trained singer in the world today. It’s really not all about his fantastic range, (which is spectacular) but it’s the emotional way he performs, he literally becomes the MUSIC. I’ve been listening to Dimash for over five years and he always brings something new to each song he sings. I attended his first solo concert in America, in New York City, at the Barclay Center back in 2019. Fans from over 60 countries packed the Center to listen and watch this amazing young man. It was electrifying to see him live on stage. Best night of my life. Please continue to listen to more songs by Dimash. I promise you will not be disappointed. 🎼🎶🎤🇰🇿❤️🇺🇸❤️🙋🏻‍♀️

I’ve flown from U.K. to Latvia and also Dubai for the chance to see Dimash in concert and I am 77. Worth every penny. I love his spectacular songs, of course, but also his simple ballads, like Quaragym ai. He isn’t all about the high notes, is he. He melts my heart frequently. I love his pop songs too and his rapping, lol. I can’t get enough of the Dimash drug.

Dimash is an old soul in a young man’s body,he sings all kinds of music but most of his songs are really deep in meaning ,for example Omir Oter,Qairan Elim,Samaltau,Daididau,Daybreak,Qaragym Ai,War and Peace,Love is like a dream,Amanat or Ikanaide , so I think you’ll find his music very different from other modern young artists. He also thinks and speaks like someone so much older ,when you go deeper into Dimash’s journey you’ll see what I mean.

This is just a taster of his ability. It's the result of a combination of natural talent and 23+ years of solid education and musical training. Dimash himself says it's 1% talent and 99% hard work. Dimash compares music to sport and maths. Btw he now has a 7.2 octave range, sings in 14 languages and plays 7 instruments. He composes music and brings Kazakh traditional instruments into much of what he performs. His country is actually called Kazakhstan and is situated right between Russia and China. He speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, he's pretty fluent in English and speaks a little Chinese. You've only seen the tip of the iceberg with Dimash and I look forward to seeing your dive down the rabbit hole.

You will never hear another voice like this either. I found Dimash in 2017 and can not go a few hours let alone a day without listening to Dimash music. He is fluent in his native Kazakh, as well as Russian. That being said, English is becoming his 3rd language and he speaks a little Mandarin. However, he sings in up to 14 or 15 languages. If you want to check out his English, do Stranger. Warning, his music is sometimes blocked so a lot of people will but a filter on the video. Shame but it may be necessary. He is quickly becoming a world star. He did a sold out concert in New York at the Barclays in 2019 before the pandemic. There were people there from all over the world who flew in just to see the concert. I flew in from Texas. Only artist I even considered flying to see. Sinful Passion, in Russian is also a must.

Lol same here!! I also flew (alone) to New York from my home state Indiana to see him. Would never do something so crazy for any other singer!!!! Had only flown a handful of times but NEVER alone and NEVER to a place that crazy populated. I guess that’s what this young man does to us. I also discovered him in 2017 shortly after I lost my mom to cancer and his voice, as you know, helps soothe the soul!!! ❤️

His absolute powerful and unshakable presence on stage, compared by some to a god of music, sometimes to a prince or king, the energy he absorbs from the Universe, then how he anchors himself to the Earth, his connection with the Divinity, all at a place, it gives him the strength and confidence to "command the audience, to order the orchestra, to order the song", so that everything comes out the way he wants and how Dimash feels, that is unique. All these qualities are only at Dimash, absolutely. The goosebumps and hypnosis induced by Dimash are the characteristics of his concerts and appearance on stage, which are shaped by his endless beauty, sometimes translucent, sometimes sensual, sometimes angelic !!! Dimash is storm, thunder, lightning, sun, rain, smile, but also love and last but not least he is our hope and our daily light, he is our spiritual food when you put your head on the pillow and start dreaming like tomorrow it's a day… !!!!! Dimash has God's kiss on his heart!!!!

You just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages, plays multiple musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in music. He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion, "Stranger" 2021, "Ikanaide" 2021, "Adagio" 2017, "Ave Maria" 2021. Each performance will leave you stunned. BTW, he can do that standing up, sitting down, floating in the air and on his spaceship, lol

I have lots of favorite artists (Elton, Sting, Steve Perry, Phil Collins, etc.) but I must say I have NEVER been into any artist more than I'm into Dimash! Please continue, and be aware that even though you may never be as shocked as this first time you've been exposed to Dimash, you will still continue to be in awe of what his voice is capable of. He's an extremely serious musician and those who know him personally say he lives music 24/7. That's pretty obvious to me! 😀

👍👍 Thank you for your appreciation. This song, a cover, is part of a rock opera "star mania" released in 1978, created by Luc Plamandon (Canadian) and Michel Berger (French). This is a rather tragic subject. The language is French, it speaks of existential distress. Dimash translates the emotion of the music and see how his whole body participates in his singing. These are not theatrical gestures but an accompaniment to the song, his body is an instrument. It is marvelous for me to watch him, and moreover it is often remarked that his presence on stage is magnetic, charismatic. Dimash is for me a total artist. You said that all souls can be touched by his song, but I must say that is not the case. Some people aren't affected, that's how it is, but those who are, become addicted easily. This has been my case for over 2 years. Dimash indeed touches the soul and offers his art to relieve those who need it. Greetings from France

Congrats, you got dimashified. Isn't it an extraordinary state if mind? You should experience him live on stage. Dimash is undoubtedly the best singer on earth. I especially appreciate his Kazakh folk influenced songs. But regarding his outstanding versatility it is difficult to find priorities. Whatever he sings is just great. Rap, Pop, operatic songs, rock, fusion songs.... He is a genius.

Now over 7 octaves range! This SOS song is in French. Your next reaction should be Sinful Passion kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rbGFjLultrmZoJ8.html from Sochi New Wave 2018. Kazakhstan used to be part of the Soviet Union. Sinful Passion is in Russian, but there are subtitles on the video link I’ve provided. It is harder to sing what Dimash just did on your knees, it’s much easier to stand, vocal coaches don’t know how he does it on his knees. Can’t top this song? You haven’t heard the other songs yet! So nice to watch you enjoy Dimash's music so much! Your reaction of being speechless is quite common! I agree that Dimash has an amazing ability to transmit the emotions of whatever he sings.I am a big Elvis fan from not so way back, and that's something I love about Elvis's voice also. (By the way, the video you watched has English subtitles, but you may need to click on them in order to have them show up.) I suggest "Ikanaide" from the Tokyo Jazz Festival. Ikanaide means "don't leave". I believe it has subtitles also. If you want to hear something super angelic, try "Ave Maria". It's a completely new version with no words. For a quick overview of his range, try "Stranger" New Wave version. (This is in English) As someone else has mentioned, his videos often get blocked so you may need to put words over the picture (some write "COPYRIGHT" over it) and pause more often. And "Love is Like a Dream" (in Russian) is so beautiful that of course you must watch that also! And don't forget his Kazakh folk songs to really hear his heart-felt singing! ("Qairan Elim" and "Samaltau" for starters. I like the "Samaltau" from the Tokyo Jazz Festival. ) Can't wait to watch more of your reactions to Dimash!

Thank you for reacting to my favorite vocalist on this planet,. His voice and emotions are healing. He can do high notes standing up as well (from what I know, actually standing up is supposed to be easier). Even higher notes, actually. I think that being on his knees is more an emotional thing. But that's not the main thing about him. The main thing is the emotional impact of what he does on one's heart and soul. And in his case, his beautiful personality comes through his voice.

It is from a rock opera. You are lucky Dimash has a huge variety of songs from different genres from Pop, Rock to Folk, Chanson, Movie title song, Classic - some duett with the main soprano from the opera of vienna. Here he were up to E6 one note short of the queen of the night from the magic flute. He did the F6 too somewhere. And sometime he uses Whistle notes so as G7 or D8... Not the range is important to me but his flawless transitions, his control.

Just to update a little bit of your information, dimash just turned 28 in May. He is from Kazakhstan. He has increased his octave range to 7+ octaves. A heads up is to always check for subtitles on any of his songs that are not in English. Most have them. I recommend Stranger (New Wave 2022) next and then perhaps his version of Ave Maria. BORN Dınmūhammed Qanatūly Qūdaibergen 24 May 1994 (age 27) Aktobe, Aktobe Region, Kazakhstan ALMA MATER K. Zhubanov University in AktobeKazakh National University of Arts in Astana, Kazakhstan. Dimash Qudaibergen (Di-MOSH KOO-die-ber-Ghen) is a phenomenon and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He has been accepted into a program to pursue his PhD in musical composition. Kudaibergen sings in multiple musical genres. His main genre is classical crossover, but he also sings classical music (bel canto), rap, hip hop, pop, rock, classic, Opera, traditional Kazakh folk, ballad and world music. He uses musical elements, and vocal styles and techniques of many other genres, including jazz, RnB, and musical theater. His 7.7 octave range (G0 growl-D8 whistle tone) and 2 semitones, meaning he has produced notes found in 7 different octaves, which is beyond comparison. Kudaibergen is well-recognized for his extremely wide and developed vocal range from C2 to C6 to F#6 and, finally, D8. This sequence shows his lowest note sung in vocal fry and chest voice, his highest note hit with his full modal voice, his highest note hit using falsetto, and his highest overall note, hit using the whistle register. Dimash is one of the best, if not the best, singers on the planet today. He started singing lessons at 5 years old and was later found to have perfect pitch. Dimash has been on stage since childhood: he sang and played the piano at various venues and competitions throughout his childhood. The young artist was not only a bright performer of famous hits, but also the author of his own songs. He had written seven songs by the age of 24. He is also known for his use of the whistle register and for singing in full head voice. He is University educated with degrees in classical and opera, as well as contemporary music, pop and jazz and completed a Broadway musical master class. On June 18th, 2020 he completed his masters specializing in composition and received his masters with honours having achieved the maximum score of 100%. He is currently working on his Doctorate in musical composition. In terms of full notes hit, Dimash has used growls and frys to hit spoken notes around and below C2, some of which may or may not be counted as part of his range. This includes an Eb2, an A1 and an F#1, various other frys around Eb2 and D2, a G#1 and a Bb1. Therefore, if counted, those notes make his range expand to 7 octaves and 10 semitones. He is humbly dismissive of this astounding fact and stresses that it is not the amount of range you have but in fact how you use it to move people. On top of all this, he embodies every song he sings and always gives 100% for his audience. He's a genius at mixing genres in a song, a style he himself refers to himself as neo-classic. He has won many prestigious awards. He speaks Kazakh and Russian, English and some Chinese. He has performed songs in 14 languages: his native Kazakh, Russian, English, Mandarin, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Serbian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Kyrgyz, Arabic and Japanese. On May 24th, 2021 Dimash celebrated his 27th birthday. At 22 he was invited as a wild card to participate in I Am a Singer, a Chinese competition show for professional singers. He ultimately placed second because at the time the rules of the show disallowed anyone who wasn't Chinese to take first place. The show catapulted him to relative stardom worldwide and he became a pop superstar in China. He is also famous in Russia for his neoclassical work with famous Russian/Ukrainian composer and arranger Igor Krutoy who came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash. Igor has written songs for Dimash and arranged previously composed music specifically for Dimash. He is often at the piano for many of Dimash's performances. Dimash has since introduced pop songs in Russia as well. He was on a solo world tour when the pandemic struck. There are several full concerts available to watch online. His concerts are usually around 2 ½ hours with an eclectic mix of vocal styles and genres. He was born into a musical family and both of his parents are famous singers and musicians in Kazakhstan, his mother being an operatic soprano. Although offered a position at the Astana Opera, he decided to carve out his career in contemporary music, mixing classical elements and traditional Kazakh music with pop music. He gained significant popularity in Kazakhstan and other post-Soviet countries in 2015 upon becoming the Grand Prix winner of Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus. He rose to fame in China with his participation as a "wildcard competitor" in Hunan TV's Singer 2017 finishing second overall. Although he works with producers, promoters and music labels in other countries his music is produced and distributed through his own company called Dimashali Creative Center. Dimash plays seven instruments: piano, drums, guitar, keyboard, dombra (the most popular Kazakh instrument, like a lute), marimba (like a xylophone), and bayan (which is like an accordion). Dimash is most widely known through his live performances and has released several albums, the first one going platinum in 37 seconds in China and triple platinum in less than an hour. It has been widely recognized that his high notes are not whistle tones but head voice. Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it is spectacular. He has many millions of fans worldwide which he has named his "Dears" He is soft spoken, polite, respectful, elegant and classy, also extremely humble, and possesses a wonderful sometimes self-deprecating sense of humor. He is often dismissive of his amazing talent and seldom goes without mentioning his love of country and its history.

Amazing reaction my friend Bob!!... Thank you for follow my recommendation and meet Dimash, the best male singer of the world!!...But Dimash is not my unique gift for you my friend...Have you seen the Best Female Singer and Performer of the World (In my opinion)?...The passion and dedication when Dimash (The Best Male Singer of the World) is performing a song can only be compared with the person who has influenced him to sing leaving everything on stage: His idol, the queen, the incomparable, the Goddess: Lara Fabian...She is a lyric soprano singer and multilingual composer, with a amazing vocal range and incredible breath control, which is one of the things that Dimash admires the most about Lara...She speaks 5 languages and sings in more than 15 languages....That's why she is the inspiration for Dimash and several singers around the world...You can see on KZfaq covers of her songs made by singers of the stature of: Dimash, Diana Ankudinova, Polina Gagarina, Rimar, Forestella, Sissel Kyrkjebo, Floor Jansen, Diana Navarro, Morissette Amon, Gabriel Henrique, Katrina Velarde, Cakra Khan and others...Please react to her songs, all masterpieces, in LIVE versions, because Lara is more impressive when she sings live, so you can see why she is the idol of Dimash...Try to do it in this order and almost all songs are from the same Lara’s concert “From Lara With Love” in Montreal 1999, one of her best works: 1) Je Suis Malade (Singing in French)...2) Caruso (Singing in Italian)...3) Je T'AIME (2002 Live version in Paris Singing in French)...4) Perdere L'Amore (1999 Live version Singing in Italian)...5) Adagio (1999 Live version singing in english)...6) Broken Vow (1999 Live version singing in English)...7) You are Not From Here (1999 Live version singing in English)...8) Quédate (1999 Live version singing in Spanish)....9) Ti Amo Cosi (2019 Live version Singing a trío with Dimash and Aida Garifullina)....I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Lara...Here you have the link of her amazing performance of the song “Je Suis Malade”....kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m66DrM5luK3YpY0.html

I subscribe to your channel because I want to see you hallucinate again and again with Dimash. Here I leave you an analysis of an Italian gentleman Unico Unice who seems to know something about music, where he perfectly describes Dimash, and where the millions of "DEARS" (as Dimash calls his fans) completely agree. With S.O.S. (piece that is part of the French musical Starmania of 1979) you only uncover the mountain of masterpieces that Dimash has, and that is astonishing everyone. Greetings from Panama. "I have known Bel Canto since I was born. Let's make one thing clear: Dimash is not only good in this or that field, in this or that aspect of singing, Dimash is the sound field, Dimash is a totality. This is no longer about just octaves (7 and 3 semitones by now, thought to be even wider), whistling registers (as you will hear) or even more than a simple, huge, vocal technique, Dimash has a universal voice. To be clear, his voice is like what in biology is called a stem cell. In this sense it is a "mother voice". From this cell any type of tissue can be generated, what are commonly called musical genres. Its transitions are such that the transition no longer exists. Dimash does not sing the different genres (opera, pop, rock, also rap, jazz, crossover, etc...). Dimash already has, from the beginning, all the genres. In his case, the musical genres they are nothing more than a coloratura, an inflection, a declension of his general voice. of course, to all the voice records of him. This also leads to the fact that he easily sings in multiple languages (15 languages). The different national languages are nothing more than determinations, sub-species, of their general sonority. Let me give you an example that is also a confirmation: Dimash has sometimes been criticized for not having dedicated himself exclusively to Opera. It was Dimash himself who declined the invitation to specialize in operatic singing, and this is perfectly consistent with his nature and value. Dimash is not just an operatic singer, not just rock, not just pop, or anything specified and specific, simply because he is a "holistic" singer in both the philosophical and scientific sense of the term. Dimash is a "chant system" that is nothing more than the sum of its own parts. He sings with his whole body. This fact does not only refer to technical considerations related to the posture to take at different times and modes of singing. It is first of all that, as I have said, in Dimash singing is equivalent to the whole organism. I guess sooner or later this should have happened to someone, and yes it did to this Kazakh boy. In short: The other singers, all the other singers, perform a song. Dimash executes himself."

SOS is Dimash masterpiece!! SOS is an existentialist song about death, ups and downs in life and death, when you feel you don’t belong here. Dimash is the Most Skilled Vocalist ever!!! Technically and artistically that’s a fact. His versatility, wide range, stage presence, performance, background, technique, creativity, powerful and beautiful voice makes him all in one. Dimash is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition. He is about to finish his doctorate in Musicology. He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but respectfully turned it down to pursue his own more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 15 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. He is kind, humble, generous and modest, very elegant and very tall, Dimash is 6ft 3, 1/4. 🔝🔝🎤❤️🌹 Please react to Stranger kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oqyjdZh5u9TRg3U.html. About his vocal range - when asked about it he shrugs it off as unimportant to him. He says he just wants his audience to be happy. He improves his voice continuously. He practices every day with teacher and on his own. He constantly hones his skills. He says he has so much more to learn. This is a humble, compassionate man, grateful to his family, his teachers, his fans. Without them I would be nothing he says. Every song he does has a surprise, every song is different, every song blows you away. Even the gentle ones that don't show off his wide range have something special about them, that touches the heart. Some people say he's not from this world. He is. But he is a very special human being. Aurora's 'A Different Kind of Human' and Lara Fabian's 'You Are Not From Here' could have been written for him. Listen to his Ave Maria and Olympico/Ogni Piętra and you'll probably agree.

Love your reaction. Thank you. You said you didn’t see how anyone could not be touched by him but I have played Dimash to most people I know and not one have been affected like me. I am 67 and an avid music listener all my life and I have never in my life been so affected by someone. It’s not just his voice, as you will get to know, he is an awesome person with the most beautiful heart and soul and that comes through into his music. He lives and breathes music a gives his whole self to every performance. Many of his performances he paints the music with his hands, is eyes, it beautiful. He sings every genre, often blending different styles in one song, like rap and opera together a makes it work awesomely. As much as I love SOS (and he does it a little different every time) it’s not my favorite. Mind you it is just about impossible to really pick a favourite, sometimes it depends on the mood. But “love is like a dream” (the version he is wearing a burgundy velvet suit) melts me at the knees every single time. Goes from very low notes and some absolutely awesome smooth as silk mid range to an awesome climax with a 20 second belt If you start at the beginning of the Dimash journey with his performances on the Chinese Singer contest you will not be disappointed and you will see how he has taken perfection from then and taken it to higher and higher levels. Many Dimash “Dears” will follow you journey as we are like proud parents watching our son blow people away. For his. Thank you for reacting to Dimash 👍🙏. Your reaction is absolutely awesome! That's the way we feel every time we listen to Dimash, he has an even bigger vocal range than 6 octaves, he breaks all moulds, but apart from that incredible ability, he uses those ranges in a way that flows so beautifully and that's because he feels the emotion of the song and has an ability to express those emotions through the different vocal tones, like an artist painting a picture, and using all different contrasting colours. He also combines many different music genres, neo-classical incl folk, traditional music and combines it with rap, pop, classical operatic, there are no limits when it comes to this artist. It really is lifechanging for all music lovers. I believe that there should be a name for his style of music, he is definitelly an innovator and a real artist who doesn't give us what we are used to but challenges us sometimes to expand our horizons, to open our minds and embrace all genres of music individually and all combined in the same songs. Many artists merged different genres previously ie. Legend Freddie Mercury, who is one of Dimash'idols, but Dimash merges the whole vocal scale too in many of his songs so beautifully. Each Dimash' song is a masterpiece and listening to him is a journey, an experience, it connects straight to the soul, our deepest emotions, that's why it brings out tears, because he sings with so much emotion, which is the third element of Dimash' greatness, the emotionsl delivery of the song. You can tell that he feels it and means it. And it's not a surprise when you get to know this incredibly humble and genuine human being whose heart is as big as his talent. His greatness goes beyong his talent. You couldn't immagine a more genuine and beautiful human being with such wonderful moral traits and values. It must be hard to deal with the show biz side for someone like him, but I am glad he has great family support around him, I am sure it's a balancing act between maintaining control and normalcy and the dangers of the worldwide fame and success.

Perfect as SOS is, it is just what Dimash has in the past characterized as his "calling card". ... Oh! Perhaps that should be *was*? I just checked, and he has not one but THREE of the TOP TWENTY of the [EDIT: NOT US Billboard Chart but instead "Billboard Hot Trending Songs Powered by Twitter", "a real-time ranking of the most discussed songs on Twitter globally". Sorry I got that wrong] One has to wonder if SOS as his calling card is on the cusp of being retired as such, to become "just" another Dimash classic. ---- I am only about 20 songs into his repertoire. (I encountered Dimash for the first time on May 22.) But I feel blessed to have experienced each and every one so far. I recall in the early 70s experiencing artists like Pink Floyd and Led Zep as utterly sublime, each song a revelation and ecstasy. Then, as a 17 year old, the Sex Pistol's "God Save The Queen" was one of the first singles I ever bought and *that* was the bomb. Decades later I love all sorts of music. In fact I got to Dimash via a discovery earlier on May 22, namely Yma Sumac, who I think mostly performed in a jazz setting, which discovery was in turn due to her being mentioned in the lyrics of Joe Le Taxis by Vanessa Paradis, who I also love.... but I digress. Pretty much every performance of every song Dimash sings has been the same totally immersive experience for me leading to goosebumps and chills, and/or delight and laughter, and/or crying and sadness, or some other powerful or otherwise perfect experience. I think you're in for a treat. If you hit any songs that don't do it for you, just let your (non) reaction speak for itself and move on to the next because he has breadth and depth. As per the song Olympico, which Igor Krutoy composed specifically for him for the opening of The European Games (which is like a local Olympics), he can and will do anything. ---- To focus momentarily on the Twitter trending entries. Two are in English and are "just" classic pop songs. The other is extraordinary. One of two pop songs (Be With Me) is his own composition, and has an official video that is imo just the right mix of quirky/silly and slick professional production values. It's a romp: funny, cheeky, and gritty. It's clearly a Michael Jackson tribute (Dimash loves MJ and will almost certainly be attractive to all MJ fans). I think it's also an echo of the song My Beauty (his first composition he wrote as a teenager) and the song's corresponding (cute and "innocent" teen sensibility sexy) official video. Afaik the official video for the other plain pop song (Fly Away) is a great artistic performance from last year. It has something like a Justin Timberlake feel. Both these classic pop songs are brilliant and just the right amount of quirky. The third song, Okay, is truly extraordinary. It's in *Russian* , and is, I think, what I've begun calling a "love letter to Putin", genuinely compassionate toward him and those around him while simultaneously holding up a mirror in which they can see themselves -- AND yet it's *still* a great song, wonderfully sung, with an intriguing video, that western eyes and ears can handle and react excitedly to without even knowing what it's really about. (It goes much deeper than my brief description of it hints at. Igor Krutoy, the composer of Olympico, mentioned above, and many other Dimash songs, is Ukrainian, and a billionaire who has dedicated much of his attention in recent years on collaborating artistically with Dimash, who is a beautiful soul. But Igor is also considered a friend of Putin, who, well, clearly isn't Dimash, and Igor is in a difficult position. In the meantime, Dimash is from Kazakhstan, which is much bigger than Ukraine, and is quite plausibly another Russian target. cf Dimash's cover of the hauntingly beautiful song of anguish Samaltau, which is about a Kazakh artist/musician become soldier marching to Omsk, in Russia, about a hundred miles over the border from Kazakhstan, in turn about the same distance from where Dimash grew up. We all live in very difficult times; how does Dimash, who has made it clear his purpose in life is to bring all peoples together, address this horrible situation? I daresay the video, which was wrapped days before Russia invaded Ukraine, was intended to give Putin et al pause, as much as any artist can give pause to such a man, such men. Of course it has arguably been released too late. Then again, maybe it becoming #1 in the US, and maybe even worldwide, would give Putin something to reflect on. Yes, Putin was the head of the KGB, the successor to the NKVD, an officer of which is in the video. But does Putin really have no real awareness at all of the evil road he has traveled down?) ---- Anyhow, do not think SOS is it for Dimash. It's a great song, and he's a great performer, and he kills it, but essentially all his performances are great, and there are thousands of songs as good as SOS, and he is constantly pushing boundaries as an artist, and it looks to me like he's poised to blow up in the West to begin catching up with the many (billion?) in the East that already know and love him.

You write beautifully, and many things I agree with, but I have to make a couple of comments where I don't exactly agree . He still calls SOS his calling card as well as one of his favorite songs - that's how he characterized it in his last solo concerts which I attended a couple of months ago. And I agree with him. For me, SOS will also always remain one of my most favorite, moving and beautiful songs ever written. In one of his live streams he also said that one of his favorite songs is Ikanaide. The Okay MV isn't about Putin at all, it's set in 1937, in the Stalin Repression period, and the director of the MV explained why they set the MV at those times - to create the proper atmosphere. It was created before the war with Ukraine started, which Dimash of course couldn't predict. I am sure Dimash didn't have Putin in mind while working on this song and then the MV. In any case, of course people like Putin won't be stopped even by a nuclear war, much less by a song, no matter what place it is on some chart on Twitter. I don't know how the financial situation of Krutoy is relevant to anything, personally I don't understand why people feel the need to constantly mention it. What does it have to do with art? Not to mention the fact that there are many people in the world much richer than he is. Also, the specific Twitter Billboard chart you are mentioning is a chart based on the list of the most tweeted about songs on Twitter and Dimash's fans work very hard to get him in this chart by tweeting like crazy. But Dimash is not on the charts of top selling artists, which are the major charts out there. If you check the Dimash is too little known in the West for that yet, unfortunately. He is an independent artist and has no kind of professional promotion or PR whatsoever. He is not enough known in the US to become anywhere near number one there. It's best to look at the situation realistically, Dimash is about the quality of his art, not about being popular among the masses, especially in the West.

I'm 60 years old and have my new addiction. First reactions to Dimash everyday because those songs that he sings are not just wonderfully sung but they're powerful in their message and he communicates in a such POSITIVE energy, he's a new addiction for me. Maybe you too?😭 Now, I get to listen to more of your 70 stuff; I'm going to have to listen to your '70s channel because it's right up my alley. Nice bonus. Dimash is the most POSITIVE influencing human on the planet with his voice because once you read all the remarks and see how many lives he's changed with his performances, it is just amazing. You'll be going down a rabbit hole of impressment by The Dears and their comments. Your jaw will be dropped again, not just by the type of human he is, (if he is fully 100% human), but by each performance. They'll be plenty of recommendations. I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction. 🔥🔥 Thanks for giving me my high today 😎
