I’ve listened to a few different performances of Dimash singing SOS and the translation is always different. This translation was not the best, but Dimash’s singing and stage presence is always excellent!

If a universe music comes alive into human form, Dimash is that personification. Even the air his breath has melody in it.

You're right. A lot of singers can reach up and 'hit' those notes-and then drop off / fall away, but Dimash LIVES up there. He is a true Male Soprano, as well as a Bass/ Baritone, and every type of Tenor! A lot of effort goes into making something this complex look so effortless. Elite level vocal coaching & then Hours of DAILY vocal exercises - for the past ( now ) 25 years! He started aged 5 { and before... } And that's on top a a genetic gift. So the rest of us- that like to call ourselves Singers - can either; lay our heads down on our laptops and sob gently - or wildly ( neither recommended! ) or; BE INSPIRED to also work hard and also strive be the best that we can be! If you want to know more about him as a person("pick his brain" so to speak lol) I recommend checking out "The Ultimate Dimash Guide" by LiLaSi, it's split into 12 standalone parts(around 10 min each), meaning you can take it on slowly one piece at a time if you so wish. It's very well made and easy to follow(mostly compiling relevant clips and interviews that allows for Dimash to talk for himself) + they usually make for good reactions too since there's a lot to discuss, especially for musicians/music lovers.

Dimash Kudaibergen a.k.a “DiMash” was born on 24th May 1994 in Aktobe which is located in the west part of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Dimash's first appearance on stage as a performer was at the age of two in a minor role in a local theater production. He began acting at a young age. At home, he became interested in musical instruments; and his parents and his music teacher noticed that he had absolute pitch. They were told he had pitch perfect voice. His mum is very well loved opera singer, and his dad sings too on stage with his wife. He was also the head of everything musical in Kazakhstan at the time. At age 2 Dimash jumped up on the stage to ta,e a bow with his parents, audience .laughed, the more they laughed, the more he danced around. Within the area of Kazakhstan, Russia Belarus and more etc was an established circle of countries who together put kn singing and musical competitions. Dimash became one of the most successful candidates, winning THE most prestigeous of them . This began to open up the world to him. The Chinese had a sining competition called The Singer, the organisor got to hear of Dimash and invited him to participate. THAT is what launched his world wide career. He was it allowed to win, he came in 2nd. That rule changed the following year. Bit his win rea.ly wasnthat the Chinese loved him as a person but also at the same level they loved his talent. Rftr his 1st performance, in the completion - S.O.S. the audience, who were the judges, all involved in the music industry, just told the whole world of this talented young man. Thank goodness they did. Dimash is highly esteemed in his own country, holds all sorts of civil and other types of awards and medals,s. If u see a pin on his jacket, that will b one of his 1st recognition by his country of his gifts and talents that have highlighted Kazakhstan to the world. Not bad for a twenty something young man. На шоу Певец в Китае 2017 года, где Димаш проявился в музыкальном мире. И в цифровом шоу Димаша 2021 года. Димаш профи до кончиков ногтей. Не случайно в первом выступлении в Китае в первых же словах песни S. O. S, в словах je vis (я живу), je ris (я смеюсь) Димаш произносит последнюю букву s, не произносимую во французском языке,и делает на ней акцент. Его костюм здесь, его волнение, это дань уважения ученика к профессиональным участникам. Посмотрите пожалуйста все его выступления на этом конкурсе в Китае. Он не мальчик в коротких штанишках. Он из них вырос. Это его заявление миру о себе лицом к лицу (vis - a - vis). Эту песню, в отличии от других на этом конкурсе, Димаш готовил не за неделю, а годами. Его уважение к Грегори Ламаршалю.
