The vocals by Agnete Kjølsrud are just perfect.

I think few people realize guitarist Silenoz actually writes all of Dimmu’s amazing lyrics. One naturally assumes it’s singer Shagrath singing his own words, but Silenoz is truly the mastermind.

I wish they did an entire album with Agnete as a co-vocalist. Her voice suits the music of DB incredibly, and never fails to send shivers down my spine.

Dimmu Borgir is my new music obsession. Their music speaks to my soul. Fantastic song. And it's nice to hear a woman in black metal who's not the typical operatic vocalist.

Almost makes me wish I was Norwegian so I could join a true black metal band (although Behemoth is also that way, even if they're Polish). I don't normally enjoy metal at all, but HOLY SHIT. I am so happy this was in my recommended and I gave it a try. The strings and choral music really complement the heavy metal sound and elevates it. I really love it. Sounds like some Shadow of Colossus, Final Fantasy epic mega boss battle music. Gets me pumped!

man this singer has a point such a deep song about how religion blinds you and you have to break the ties and you can see things clearly for what they are.

When I was in high school my friend introduced me to this band, I can’t thank him enough. This song has a great message, and it kicks you in the teeth with it.

Damn, this whole song and the music video is just on another level. Those vocal deliveries, they are top notch stuff. Anette touches operatic levels in the outro. The blast beats from the drummer, those nice catchy riffs with the tremolo picks and the many changes in the song. This really is high level art.
