5:40 I can easily hear what you mean regarding Pink Floyd.

The operatic sampled voice in the middle blows me away and the overall cleaner sound makes it beefier and with a more powerful impact. Much like Death Cult Armageddon, but with more edge. It is fantastic!

Damn, sounds way cleaner than before, yet still brutal as fuck. I was sure that Vortex would be edited out in favor of the orchestra, which i was glad to be wrong about. I am very biased in this matter, so having basically the best of both worlds is very welcome.

No, dude. It sounds like ass. It's overly compressed and squished (less separated) as a result. The dynamics are gone. They scooped the mids and tamed down the highs (they weren't too high in the first place) and they totally ruined the drums with more compression, EQ and putting them more in the background. As a drummer, guitarist and audio engineer myself, I guarantee you that Nick Barker is pissed about it - much more than he was about Cradle's remixed version of Cruelty and the Beast, which was actually an improvement but the toms were (as usual) scooped in the mids. The original version of PEM could of perhaps used a tiny bit of EQ touches but it really didn't need a remix nor a remaster. They're just as dumb as Metallica for not remixing And Justice For All, which actually did need a remix. If anything, Dummy Burger needs to remix Spiritual Black Dimensions and Stormblast, but considering what they did here, I don't trust them. Enthrone Darkness Triumphant is, by far their best work. And lastly, I've only heard two other opinions on this remix from friends. Both didn't like it and said pretty much the same thing I did.
