Excellent discussion about the track and lyrics. Dimrays are definitely trying to create their own “sound”. I like that they are a pushing the boundaries so to speak.

It was very coincidental that y'all have this video reaction on the same day I watched an interview with the Dimrays vocalist, Akane, and the bassist, Naho. Unfortunately they are still looking for a new guitarist and drummer. For the shows that they are doing, they bring in a drummer and guitarist, likely from Osaka where they live. I have only listened to a few of their songs (they don't have many) and they are definitely metalcore with rap, similar in some ways with Hanabie. Akane is a good, versatile vocalist and I think was involved in writing most, if not all, of the songs. Naho appears to be a solid bassist but that is much harder to judge without hearing some live performances. My gut feeling is that she is a talented bassist. If I understood correctly from the interview, Haho's favorite band is Queen so that is a big plus for me. Another plus for me is that she grew up snow skiing (both her parents are instructors) so she very likely can ski circles around me. I hope they become a complete band again very soon.

When the growled vocals started, I was like "oh no, not again" 😂 Her clear voice is very beautiful though, and the song is really catchy, I agree. Interesting one 🙂

Excellent reaction, guys. One key difference between the aforementioned Hanabie and Dimrays is that Hanabie has two frontwomen in both Yukina and Matsuri, whereas Dimrays only have the one in Akane. In Hanabie, they'll frequently alternate between Yukina's growls and Matsuri's clean vocals. In Dimrays, you have Akane, here in Fr, alternating between her clean vocals, growls, and rap verse.
