What was the timespan over which you improved your score from 520 to 720? (i.e how many months or years between the time you took the first test and the last test?)

Awesome! Another resource I would recommend would be to use an error log, so you can focus your studying on your weaknesses. You can use a spreadsheet or an app like mine (get21stnight.com/) .

Heyy Ding, AWESOME inspiring video towards GMAT prep. Can you kindly suggest the material specific to RC practice?
@DingDangDong_Created_With_Love
@DingDangDong_Created_With_Love 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Soumita, Thanks for your comment! I would suggest to do the RC part of OG several times (not right away after finishing once but with some gap to "forget" the content) with time keeper, track your improvement. Then, if you feel like doing more, the dedicated OG practice book can serve as additional material with the same approach. Also, I recommend to have a consistent reading of the Economist, FT, Bloomberg.....these business magazines to maintain your pace of reading. Good luck on your practices and the exam!

from where did you practice online tests? any particular website or book?
@DingDangDong_Created_With_Love
@DingDangDong_Created_With_Love 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Kalyan, thanks for putting comment! Regarding the online practice tests, there are offical test packages from GMAC and third party products. Here is the link of offical packages. Free packages: www.mba.com/exam-prep/gmat-official-starter-kit-practice-exams-1-and-2-free Extra packages: www.mba.com/exam-prep/gmat-official-practice-questions-exams-3-to-6 Below some third-party platforms: - Magoosh - Kaptest - Manhattan Regarding the third-party resources, some are free, and you need to pay to extend the practice question library. They are not the same exam layout as mba.com, so I would recommend the official one. Yet you do not need to buy everything all at once and the offical product is more expensive. Try to start from the offical guide book, it has already a diversified and decent question library. Feel free to reply me if you have follow-up questions, hope these links help!

Hi Rohan, Thanks for loving it - really happy to know! I did do my last GMAT during the interview process but actually do not recommend doing so. It is much less stressful and more efficient to prepare once thing rather than several (preparing interview, working, doing GMAT, worrying....). You may find another video in my channel elaborating the reason that I chose INSEAD. Let me know what you think of it: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fNWHrLtevrmuaH0.html Also, I am exchanging with Kellogg during these months and am preparing some videos of Kellogg with comparisons between the two B-schools. Hi Leticia, My "crack the GMAT" period stays around 10 months. And yes, I do need to take TOELF yet started with GMAT cause it would be more difficult regarding my skills lol. You are completely right - GMAT stays for 5 years whereas TOELF is valid for only 2 years. This is also one of the reason that I started from GMAT. Hope it helps! Cheers.

@DingDangDong_Created_With_Love
@DingDangDong_Created_With_Love 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Kshitiz, First of all, don't give up, it will only become better and better after practicing. GMAT is not only about English skill, there are other factors of time management, stress management and give up certain questions strategically. I did find many stupid mistakes after reviewing and question myself on how stupid I was during the test. After those negative experience, I changed a mindset and took it as an opportunity - to correct what was wrong and therefore to improve. Sometimes, we are not building the fundamental and those "stupid" mistakes shows the weakness of our knowledge database. One tip is that I have an excel sheet with all mistakes I have made. Little by little after doing this "boring" collections, I found the mistakes can be put into categories. And ah-ha comes! Best of luck and I believe that you will get an ideal score!

It may sound that way because English doesn't seem to be her first language. Verbal is usually easier for those that speak English as their native language because they can pick at the nuances of the grammatical structure "by ear." However, non-native English speakers oftentimes do better in the verbal section because they're learning the grammar rules without being influenced by options that sound right.
