Xdinary Heroes have so many lives to check out. I don't know where to start, but I love Jungsu, who is in the black, and Jooyeon, who is blonde, voices so much. The whole group can sing, but these two are the heavy hitters in the group. Even their bandmates look at them in awe as if they've never heard them singing.

I never realized how the violin in the beginning of Good Enough sounds like something that came direct from The sims lol

XH have such amazing vocals. If you want more live singing they post live clips for some of their songs on their channel, the Pirates live clip is my favourite.

I'm a little late... but I LITERALLY just watched this today only for Xdinary Heroes... man are they talented. "Good Enough" is such a heartwrenching song. Idk the members' names that well, but these two are the main vocalists & they deliver. KPOP rock band-esque sort of groups like Day6 or N.Flying always have such strong, beautiful, opera-like singers. I really need these guys to not be slept on.

If you were looking to hear more XH vocals, i’d recommend Pirates, Knock Down and Dear H. - the live versions of course! (Not wanting to pressure, but just in case you want to in the future! Hahah 💖)

Damn I was waiting for some of Vanner's old songs to make an appearance. I saw them live in New York in 2020 (before the pandemic happened) and they were so lively, energetic, charismatic and amazing singers/rappers. They still are but idk if I bop to the new songs as much.

how do you manage to always react to videos that i want to recommend to you lol. i def understand why you love jungsu's voice (the one of the left with black hair) so much bc i can never get enough of that straight tone and full voice. personally i prefer jooyeon's voice (mr. blonde) bc i've grown up on alternative/rock music and he's a very rare gem in korean bands imo since not many vocalists have his type of rock vocal (you can really hear it in their other b-sides and in their cover songs which are often rock songs). while i feel like jungsu has better technique, jooyeon's voice fits the genre xh does like no other. i love that the main vocalists of the group have such different voices, love that versatility for the band. also i feel like you may like their covers more than their songs since i feel like it showcases their vocals better like i said earlier. if you ever feel like checking out their stuff i def recommend impossible (nothing but thieves), tomboy (g-idle), love me right (exo), and trouble's coming (royal blood; this is not a full cover).

Also, quick track breakdown for XH, in case anyone's like me and too lazy to look it up lol: 1. Freakin Bad - main track from their latest comeback and 3rd mini album Deadlock, you reacted to it before and iirc you appreciated the skill and technique even tho it wasn't your cup of tea stylistically. 2. Happy Death Day - their debut single, released in Dec 2021 (yes, as a band they're not even 2 years old yet). It was so different than what you'd expect out of even a kband, combining some rock sounds with a very skz esque sort of organized chaos. Sadly the fact that they only had the 1 single and their first actual album didn't get released until a full 6 months later is likely a big factor in why they aren't more popular. JYP really fucked them over with that. 3. X-Mas - b side from their 2nd mini album Overload (main track on that one was Test Me). I really like it, but honestly my bside pick from that album would have been Ghost, which I think is also Jooyeon's favorite. Overload has a lot more experimenting with different sounds and effects while still keeping everything very band-focused rather than relying on a million tracks. A lot of the songs have a sort of Tim Burton-esque quality to them that's so fun. 4. Strawberry Cake - bside from their first mini album Hello World. It blew everyone's wig off precisely bc of that section they sang here. None of their other singles to that point had really showcased the power their main vocalists had, so it was a bit of a shock at first lol. It's also a bit darker in the lyrics than their other stuff up to that point, which is funny considering the title is the most sweet (pun intended lol). Also keep in mind that Jooyeon plays the bass, so when he's coming in w/ that killer belt he's also responsible for that heavy punch in the bass line. 5. Good Enough - b side from Deadlock, this along w/ Dear H were their first forays into ballads and needlesstosay they smashed it. It's in English bc it was written by their drummer Gunil who lived in the US from middle school thru college (he went to Berklee College of Music, which is a top 5 music school here) and it's based on a poem he wrote in college while nursing a broken heart. While you were reacting I realized that the way the vocals go up and down a lot kind of reminds me of how your voice cracks and breaks when you're crying or upset, but it's done in such a beautifully controlled way and makes so much sense given the origin of the song. I'm sooo glad that they got to do this on Dingo to showcase how they're even better live than they are on the studio version.

Omg, i cant tell u how much i loved this! As someone who has basically zero musical talent (my elementary music teacher kindly encouraged me to lipsync in group songs 😅) or education (could never afford an instrument or lessons) its always so gratifying to have someone who actually knows what they're talking about point out the skill and talent of a group i already love. Knowing that u like the same things about XH's vocals that i do even tho i didnt have the expertise or terminology to understand what i liked about it is just very validating. Jooyeon (the blond one) has such a gorgeous vibrato while Jungsu (taller with black hair) tends to put this little cry on the ends of his lines that is just ear candy to me. As a longtime metalhead i can tell ya that Jooyeons voice is MADE for rock and metal, which is probably why he's my fav voice in korean music at the moment. Jungsu's voice is a lot more pop-y, the piercing quality of it always kind of reminds me of a bell lol. And when they harmonize together its just magic. If u want more of that, check out their cover of Drown by Bring Me The Horizon.

Definitely some odd choices to showcase Vanner's vocals, but I understand why they chose them (they're some of their more popular songs). I might have missed it - did you watch Peak Time? Their Adore U cover and Skyscraper performance I think are better indicators, especially for Taehwan (white sweater).

YES Vanner is so damn talented but the songs they were given after winning Peak Time were NOT IT 😭😭 i was truly disappointed the production is so basic and shallow, even more than their older songs (which is crazy cause they really used to struggle financially).. i hope from now on more known producers work with them and give their voices justice

Junsu (XD guy with the black hair) is a GEM. I can't wait for his solo debut in a couple of years, he's phenomenal: Skills, Technique, Tone, it's all there. I agree with you that their music just really isn't my cup of tea (minus Strawberry cake which is amazing)

I agree with you 100% regarding their voices. Jungsu just makes it seem so effortless, and his voice is so strong that you don't see him really needing to dig deep to hit his notes and have emotion in his voice. He just stands there and smiles and does it with such great range. Also, his voice is just so very clean and unique. Joo does a fantastic job, but I don't think his voice is as unique, and his high notes appear to be a real effort for him, like he is digging deep and needing to summon all of his skill to hit the notes. Also, his high notes are a little nasally, IMO, but his low tones with his husky voice are just beautiful, and when they harmonize, it is such a pleasure to listen to. I def prefer Jungsu's voice overall, though they are both amazing.
