There’s never been a more quintessential “time to retire” moment to me than Roethlisberger falling over on his own after throwing a pass. Can’t believe that one wasn’t on here.

If you do a Volume 2, you gotta include Dan Marino's last game where he threw a pick on the first series of the game and went to the sideline hanging his head. He knew it was over right then. That moment crushed the Dolphins--they got destroyed the rest of that game--and also finished Jimmy Johnson. Johnson looked completely shellshocked on the sideline, and never coached football again after that game.

@Bigtmac2200
@Bigtmac2200 Жыл бұрын
@@LammBoppers As a lifelong Cowboy fan born in 1996, (aka we ain't won dirt in my lifetime,) that was so incredibly bittersweet. Tony still had IT, but his talent wrote checks his body couldn't cash. Had Tony had a decent offensive line earlier he'd have played MUCH longer. I'm thrilled people finally see in him what they denied for the years he played. His mind for football and reading defenses was elite to say the least. We should have won the Superbowl either in '07 or '14, those were the closest we got under Romo.

The funny thing about Cutler is that he was MASSIVELY up and down way before he left the league, that kind of game happened like 1/10 times even in his peak at Chicago. Maybe not quite that bad in every dumpster fire, but I'd know bad games were both random and all over the place for him, I am a Bears fan after all, so I *lived* both sides of that coin as a fan.
