I’ve owned a place in Barefoot since 2010 and will be there when I retire full time in 10 months and I was shocked how many Steeler and Pittsburgh themed places there are in this area. It’s like a semi tropical western Pennsylvania.

I loved everything except about it except the pain I felt in remembering the Steelers beating my Bucs 20-18 last week! 😭😂 My grandfather was a Doctor for the team & I worked for them over 2 seasons. Hi MMM, those are some large portions of food. The salad looked good but I don't think I would care for fries on my salad. That is a huge sandwich but it looks like it would be easier to eat with a fork. I think I would take the fries off and eat those as a side dish. Is fries on your food a Pittisburgh thing? I've been waiting for you to put out a video on the beautiful fall colors in NC. Take care and enjoy life.

The way I remember it, yinz was kinda pronounced you-nz by my grandma. The you part eventually got shortened 😊

Their Pittsburgh Style Sandwich is their take on the Pittsburgh Primanti’s Sandwich. This sandwich has meat, cheese, fries and coleslaw, all on the sandwich. It’s good, but not as good as the real Primanti’s Sandwich. (The Steelworkers would eat these for lunch, everything was right there on the sandwich. They often times went to the Polish Church in the Strip District on their breaks too. The Strip District was where many products to include produce, meat, fish, etc. items would arrive for sale.) I think that their sandwich slaw sauce does not have enough vinegar in it, which would make it more authentic. Other than that, it’s a must try:) btw...I spent my entire life in “the burg” until I moved to Little River, SC eight years ago.
