exactly. and not everyone can shop the same. i'm very good at saving, and the biggest reason why is i have storage, and cooking equipment. i've had to budget living out of my van before, or even my car, or at times without any shelter not provided by me finding one nomadically. each of those situations was so incredibly different how i ate, what i could eat, store, and prepare. when i see these videos, it's just interesting to see how people elevate the cheapest foods with the least amount possible. and as they say, hunger is the best seasoning sometimes.

Mega pro tip: don't mash up the meat so much so fast. Make big chunks first, wait for the water to vaporize, then smash into smaller pieces, wait a little bit, then fine chop it. It'll get a nice sear instead of getting chewy and boiled in the juices from the meat itself.

Never had that problem. I don't stop chopping my meat till it's done.. I'll give it a shot once though... Definitely have to spend the extra cheddar for grass fed ground beef... Still would be less than 10$ per meal!!!

Pro tip: that juice that comes out when you cook ground beef isn't grease. It's actually mostly water and it cooks out as you continue browning the beef. So there's really no need to drain it
