And one day I was like 11 years old my father (God bless his soul) gave me a tape and the cover was ( Pink Floyd. The Wall ). After listening to this album I knew I'm not the same kid. Told my father I will never ask for anything but just I need more music like this for my holiday. And then he used to take me and drive to another city like 80km every month to buy 5 albums I choose. And the store owner used to give me one more as a gift. What a memories. discovering metal and blues and rock was amazing. Now I'm a drummer for about 27 years

The little man with the big big voice. I saw him several times at large arena type venues and, several years later at a night club. In a small venue his voice just shot through the entire place. It did in stadiums too but not like the smaller venue. That's when I really realized he had diesel powered vocal cords. Just amazing!! At a stadium concert, the line was wrapped around the building. We got in line and started chanting "we are the last in line" About 1/2 hour later, we were up front and could see the end of the line again and everyone at the end of the line was still chanting. Good Times!! R.I.P. You earned it my man!

I remember seeing Dio, Iron Maiden, Queensryche opening for Ozzy and a month later Queensryche opened for Metallica, all this in one summer. I live in Mobile, Alabama so acts would come to Pensacola, Fl., Biloxi, Ms, Atlanta and New Orleans and I could catch many shows 2 or 3 times. The early to mid 80's were the best time to be young enough to enjoy the hell out of it but old enough to drive where ever they were playing. I wouldn't give that up to have seen Woodstock. Oh, I almost forgot about Anthrax and AC/DC just after that summer near my b'day in Sept. Great b'day present that was.

The stage had the drums & keyboards on towers of Stone, the drums being say high as 16 ft.And from behind, arose a huge dragon with wings one end to the other of the stage. Eyes shot lazors from them at Dio doing barrel rolls cross stage to be missed. Was awsome show to attend. When we went back to the car someone had stolen our battery. So I had to swipe another hooked it up with two O-clams and a Strip of aluminum on the 1 wire they snipped. Dam if it didn't work, but my Girl that night was super pissed I did steal another battery. Know what? That babe married me not long after, and been together to this day.Tunded out to be a show for the ages. Thank you Ronnie. God & you blessed me that night for life. R.I.P. Brohand.

Thanks for this upload. Just getting into Dio at 61! Unreal what a frontman blows all the "big" names away in my book! Great band!

Every time I saw Dio, I ended the night drained and recharged at the same time.

Saw him in glasgow years back. One of the best nights of my life. I wore boots that were too small, ended up binning them, standing in a crowd full of people in heavy boots and me in my socks. Took the tshirt i was wearing and binned that also so i could wear my newly purchased dio tshirt. Then took a poster off the wall, only to have a security guard tell me i couldn’t take it. After pleading my case about this being the gig of a lifetime and me needing something to remember it by, he then said “you can’t have the picture and that’s final. However, I’m going to look over there behind me for 5 seconds...” so he did, and i took the poster. Thank you random security guy. Framed it and it hung in my living room for years. Been to a hell of a lot of gigs, and never heard a voice like his live before or since.

Dio was and is the King of hard rock! Voice of the ages. Bruce Dickenson is a close second.

Not that I’ve ever been a huge Dio fan, but this is some amazing live footage! Last in Line is a cool tune! And this is back when live concerts were freaking bad ass!

I've only had the opportunity to see Ronnie live once. It was in the early 90's in Seattle when he was with Black Sabbath. All I can say is. For a humble little man off stage as he was. Hand him a microphone with a hard rocking band behind him, and this cat ain't fooling around. He is over the top awesome vocalist, and performer as well.

Saw Dio in Houston 1986. One of the best concerts I've been to. At some point people in the upper promenade were throwing holy water on us sitting below. I didn't burst into flames. Fast forward 2022, never turned into a demon. Think we are aware if you hold the album (yes, album) upside down Dio spells Devil. It's a concert for crying out loud where you go to forget life for a few hours. RIP Ronnie.

I just can't think of any better metal singer than Ronnie James Dio. He made it sound so easy and natural. What a singer he was!

An epic, majestic voice, one of the greatest rock stars of all time. Dark, obscure, mystically genius.

It’s kinda crazy now that I’m in my late 40s and watch this amazing footage I don’t understand why I wasn’t a bigger fan of DIO in my younger years! This shit is epic! I guess I was too hung up on the mainstream hair bands at the time! Just watching this bad ass concert footage makes me so freaking wish I woulda caught a Dio concert back in the day! Thank the powers to be for KZfaq!🤘🏻

David Trevino Well we all know who the fool is with that looser comment! It’s OK, go back in your parents basement and shut the F up! It’s comical when clowns like you try to act cool acting like a TOOL!
