For those wondering about the backlit version and wiring to a Cali-Raised LED 'OEM' Switch, do not switch to the additional sub harness provided. Unclip the provided 3 position switch, so you have red, yellow and blue. Blue is backlight function, so wire it in to a nearby source that runs when you want backlights to function, if you want to use that function, otherwise, cover it up. Yellow is the main beam wire and red is a direct-from-battery wire. Connect the green from cali raised switch to the red from the DD harness, Red 1 from switch to yellow on DD harness and then utilize a common ground (I tapped in to my LED bar ground wire) and tap the black wire from switch to that. Red 2 from switch is to maintain that illumination when dash lights are on and you can follow this video's guide on that.

@@dadaking also can o tap into my stock light switch to power the light on the Cali raised tall switch.? Which button did you tap into ?
@dadaking2 жыл бұрын
@@gangman261210 I tapped into a MESO puddle pod switch. You can tap into any of those switches down there. Buy a test light to determine which wire is an illumination wire. Goodluck!

@@dadaking can you give details on the test light you used and did you have to unplug the meso switch in order to locate/identify the illumination wire? Thanks.
@dadaking Жыл бұрын
@@rustyjames8029 I just used a regular 12v test light, with the other end grounded. Having no clue which wire was illumination, probe around to see which wire is hot when you flip the headlight switch. You do not need to disconnect the meso switch.

So did you just forego the two selection aspect of the control of the light?
@dadaking9 ай бұрын
I don't recall two light outputs. If you are talking about the backlight feature, I believe that is only for the newer generation lights.

Great video! Is this the one with the backlight? I just purchased the same one with backlight.

Nice! Those I believe are the newer versions. I have the older ones. You'll dig them. 😉

@@dadaking ok there's a blue wire which is for Backlight. I'm just curious if i should connect that wire "blue" in the same wire where it illuminates the switch.

@@MrSaturnino1 ordered mine, haven’t come in yet. Wondering the same. I asked DD, they said I could tap the blue wire for the backlight to the running lights or side marker which would turn off the backlight once I hit the switch and the regular pod turns on. Which removes the blue wire from the equation, leaving me with a red and yellow wire from the pods to a 4 wire switch. That’s where im puzzled
