No one knows what it’s like to stand there. No one knows what it’s like to be this unique. This authentic. Her voice type is so rare for a petite woman. Her nervousness makes this type of song even more genuine. Most people cry to this song. Imagine how she must feel about it. She wrote it. With immense strength, beauty and fragility she pours it out. She is like the voice of an opened flower in the shade. So delicate and dark. If an orchid could sing.

@EmaBerisha-gn2me10 ай бұрын
@@jt9300 thats what makes it amazing. The fluctuation in her tone. Otherwise it’d just be boring and robotic.
@jt930010 ай бұрын
@@EmaBerisha-gn2me going off-key is not an artistic choice here, it's a bug. As for the dynamic, it's not intentional and controlled though. As an extreme example, listen to Pavarotti and how he changes the dynamic of his voice. That's an insanely well controlled fluctuation. But what Lana does in her live performances is, as I said, all over the place. She doesn't seem to have any command of her resonance and tone

I always come back to this video. It showcases Lana's voice and her range in such a stripped down version of her most famous song. I love how simple, yet elegant everything is in this set.

Every year I come back to this performance, it’s so magical, everytime I listen to this song it feels just like the first time, i feel like I own it, no other artist has created this sort of power but Lana herself in her music.

It's highly dissapointing to me that only about 631,000 people have watched this. Like, what is our world actually doing? Overly praising the pop industry, that's for sure. This performance is so f*cking beautiful and flawless. Goosebumps everytime! Share the crap out of it guys!

Throughout all these years it hits even harder listening to this nowadays. I was fortunate enough to see her live recently and it was life changing. I love you so much Lanita 😭💙

She ' s completely unique; each time she sings she produces art in the purest form. Her register is bravely out of fashion , cause she is beyond sensation. Her vibrato and lowest chords is like death coming to life; her highest notes like sensuality and tragedy making love; congrats my beloved sweetheart

Why, who me, why? Feet don't fail me now Take me to your finish line Oh my heart it breaks every step that I take But I'm hoping that the gates, they'll tell me that you're mine Walking through the city streets Is it by mistake or design? I feel so alone on a Friday night Can you make it feel like home if I tell you you're mine? It's like I told you, honey Don't make me sad, don't make me cry Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough, I don't know why Keep making me laugh Let's go get high The road is long, we carry on Try to have fun in the meantime Come take a walk on the wild side Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain You like your girls insane So choose your last words, this is the last time 'Cause you and I, we were born to die Lost but now I am found I can see but once I was blind I was so confused as a little child Tried to take what I could get Scared that I couldn't find All the answers, honey Don't make me sad, don't make me cry Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough, I don't know why Keep making me laugh Let's go get high The road is long, we carry on Try to have fun in the meantime Come take a walk on the wild side Come kiss me hard in the pouring rain You like your girls insane So, choose your last words, this is the last time 'Cause you and I, we were born to die We were born to die We were born to die Come and take a walk on the wild side Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain You like your girls insane Don't make me sad, don't make me cry Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough, I don't know why Keep making me laugh Let's go get high The road is long, we carry on Try to have fun in the meantime Come take a walk on the wild side Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain You like your girls insane Choose your last words, this is the last time 'Cause you and I, we were born to die (we were born to die)
