Absolutely beautiful and because their voices tend to overlap, there is no silence where the soundtrack would be. Perfect acapella.

Singers now and 90's and 80's couldn't even sing they need a machine(autotune)singers from back then actually could sing had real vocals

Maybe you need to check out Rockapella. They perform without any instruments at all, just vocals. Also The Nylons, plus an a cappella group called Michigan J. Frog. There's an entire genre of music of this type; it's not all just barbershop quartets and The Sweet Adelines doing a cappella music anymore. For about four years I was aa member of a barbershop style chorus, and all the guys involved loved Doo Wop music.

Thank you for this fascinating experiment. I always believed that the vocal part of this song was as totally self-contained as it is. A lot of acapella misses the backing band, but this one feels complete, even though I know (and love) the full version. I truly appreciate this!

Every single one of those "oldies" vocal groups had to audition without any musical accompaniment or technology. Straight acapella. If you sounded right on, perfect, only then did you have a chance to be recorded and produced by a record label, else you were told to go home and practice until you sang it right.
