to be honest i love that this is becoming so popular because i’m obsessed with it. Im 18 and about to start college and this look helps me really try to romanticize my future. Ik it’s dumb but it really helps. I also used to wear glasses like that and now i’m excited to get another pair similar. I have a normal square frame pair and now I want a geek chic oair. I hope this never dies out cuz it’s my favorite aesthetic in a LONG time.

This aesthetic is so interesting to me as someone who works a 9-5 office job and sees lots of other corp employees on my daily commute. Some of the inspo outfits could be worn in to an office job, but most of them could definitely NOT be worn to an office job. I do enjoy some aspects of this aesthetic but I never wear gray and I personally don’t like short skirts

As a girl I was bullied for my glasses so I feel kinda weird when they’re popular yk? Even though it helps acceptance at the same time it’s like babe, don’t pretend you didn’t call me ugly and publicly humiliate me over this for an entire decade. You can’t do that and then decide glasses are hot just because Bella Hadid wore them one day 😂 At the same time it’s not a big deal because glasses are a very accepted disability aid, people literally forget that’s what they are. But I’m always so mad that people can just spend all their money on cute frames without having to budget for the prescription lenses 😭😭😭 Also your videos are so good!!! And your commitment to the look is always perfect

This really feels like a work from home, romanticized fashion trend. I work in an office but it's extremely casual and would never require me to wear anything corporate but I also wouldn't WANT to wear corporate clothes to work. They're super uncomfy and restrictive. But when I come home and start my second (work from home) job I wanna put on a tight blazer and Bayonetta glasses while my nails clack against the keyboard and soft jazz plays on my speakers. I don't want to be the hottest girl in the office, I wanna be the hottest girl in the office-setting 2000s romcom.

I'm going to channel my inner FKA Twigs here and be contradictory. On a vid, God, about a year ago, I went berserk on, I think it was on Bella Hadid, and her "snow runoff water" color palette. Tonight, to this vid, I THRILLED to Dion's emphasis on the GRAY in this aesthetic. I will quote Walt Whitman on this defect I am flaunting, "Very well then I contradict myself, (I am large, I contain multitudes.)". Dion draws the distinction between gray and "neutrals". GOD, I hate brown. Gray is NOT a neutral, is it? Hmm. You can do so much with it. Fifty Shades right? Slate, steel, charcoal, on and on. And the beauty part to me is you can INSTANTLY jazz it up with the smallest dash of Google color: fire engine red lipstick, or nails. For that matter vibrant color red GLASSES, de rigueur in this look. You can't do that with brown, you have to stay basically mud. The most important point here, key, key, key is what Dion has always said about fashion: IT'S FANTASY. She says at 6:58 "We're not recommending this for actual workplace wear." Roger that! You wear this look OUT, not in office, at least if you want to stay employed. My favorite part of this look other than gray, I can't believe I just typed "favorite" and "gray" in the same sentence, is the deliberate, hopefully subtle, dorkiness: the mismatched shoes or socks or whatever. That adds a touch of whimsy to the look and makes it FUN! Loved this one! Keep it up, Child. Thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up.

Interesting and informative video. I found the tictoc videos hilarious and a bit unrealistic as I never watch them. I think colorful office core can exist. Try watching K dramas in office settings. I didn’t watch many but they show great style with vibrant colors ❤️🧡💚💙 not like in Japan where they only wear black and grey in companies in comparison!

I'm a librarian and I think taking inspiration from this aesthetic can help women to still feel cute at work instead of matronly or frumpy. Now I think in the more strict corporate settings, the miniskirts would definitely get you reprimanded, but they are such a look it'd honestly be worth it

This style or aesthetic just isn't for me. It feels so off, so inappropriate (although I don't have a dress code at work, I would never wear a skirt this short or showing my belly with anything cropped). I do me, and you do you, not trying to spread hate or anything. Maybe it is the "sexy-vibe via showing skin" that keeps me off, I don't know. Anyhow, great video, as always. Thank you. :)
