Now this is what I call a show! Maria Grazia is so underrated. Artistic, emotional and original. RTW fashion shows are never designed to show detail, but to get across the mood and inspiration behind the collection, which I think she did brilliantly and powerfully. Smart people know the runway or backstage stills are where you go for details. The clothes are so beautiful and wearable. Her ready to wear is so much better than Galliano’s, but no designer living or dead can ever beat Galliano’s sheer creative genius which only Dior Haute Couture could truly unleash to its full extent.

This is one of my favourite collection .. the outfits models and the singers and dancers .. everything is perfect .. love it !!!

I am sorry and disappointed to read all of these negative comments. This is a fashion show, that reaches world scale, and ultimately those with an open and wordly mind will understand it. This was perfectly choreographed to seamlessly showcase the fashion, and tell the story of the setting, which is; Puglia, its traditions (through the lighting), its music, its dance. This dance is rooted in hundreds of years of history and tells a story of the people, melancholy, joy, love, passion and the earth - all realities of which they lived. It is dramatic by nature, so to say it takes away from the fashion, is an ignorant comment. The fashion interwines perfectly, pay attention. Thank you Maria Grazia, for your art, passion and creativity. You are at the very top for good reason. Congratulations on the show, it was simply phenomenal!

For whoever needs to know some context: the music and the dancers are performing the traditional 'tarantella' typical folkloristic dance of puglia and lecce, which originated many decades ago and talks about women being bitten by a spider, the tarantula, who starts dancing frenetically to shake the venom out of her body. that's why the dancers look to be distressed and move their feet in that way. Another similar dance they're dancing is 'pizzica' a dance that represents the love and passion of the couple, who dances in a very intense way but never touching each other.

love this! i'm so tired of fashion runways with crowds of people sticking their iphones in front of the show. This is refreshing, emotional, elegant, sexy. The clothes are beautiful, the dancers and music moving, the setting stunning . . . love everything about this. Makes me want to go out a buy a Dior dress! thank you

OMG WHERE DO I START, Maria Grazia Churi is a phenomenal genius, the linguistic language of home, heritage is something we all can relate to especially doing these times, when we are all stuck in our home. The collection was poetic alongside the incredible dancers who were the esprit of the show. The music was just perfection and truly gave us the essence of Puglia. Amazing show. Every piece and every moment was art. Dior has really captured the spirit of the new era we are entering. And there is no more natural place than Italy to perform this.

Everything about this show is exquisite ~ the music and dancers represent the suffering and oppression we have experienced in the past, and even this year. The models represent how resilient we are! We must work and create and move always! Even in times of great distress. Beautifully done, Dior. Bravo!

I didn’t really notice the collection until the final display...very nice, actually- much of it very attractive and wearable. The dancers and music however, were the real stars of this show

LOVED IT! it was a pleasure for the eyes, the ears, the soul, the mind. It represents the essential. Amazing. My fav part was the final part, where all the model are standing. This gives hope, it's a sense of rebirth after what we have all been through. Because 'Fashion' is not simply models walking. Fashion is Story and History. And Maria Grazia got it. Thank you. It's beautiful to see such a lovely scenery after so much suffering in Italy due to pandemic. The collection is lovely and Maria was really inspired, like Karl in good all days. I do agree that Dior's DNA is a bit lost and I recognize more Maria's design preferences that I personally love. I like that she chose Puglia, the birth place of her father, to showcase the collection and that she invited Negramaro.

A groundbreaking performance where fashion becomes simply the expression of culture. Coming from a house like Dior it’s brave and I think it opens a new way as in how to perceive fashion. Not anymore as commercial luxury but as an expression of creativity, beauty and a celebration of life. Very inspiring to see the end of the traditional catwalk in exchange for an artistic and emotional performance of human beings in a soul-lifting art performance.

Tarantism is a form of hysteric behavior, popularly believed to result from the bite of the wolf spider Lycosa tarantula, although no link between such bites and tarantism has ever been demonstrated. The term is historically used to refer to a dancing mania, characteristic of southern Italy, which supposedly cured such bites with a complex mix of fast-paced music and hysterical dances. In reality, this was a way for Italian women to vent their pent-up anger towards the extremely male-dominated world of the time, in which they weren't able to freely express themselves. In this case, it has been intended to chase away that sense of oppression that was created during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially here in Italy.
