My thoughts on the new Dior Privee, Maison Christian Dior Fragrance Eden-Roc. I don't love this one, and sadly it falls flat on me. It doesn't come together all that great for me, unfortunately. It's wearable but sadly I won't be pulling for it too much. Have you tried Dior Eden-Roc? Are you a fan of this type of Fragrance? Please let me know, add a comment below so that I can find out.

Call me a fan. I like how subtle it is, I like the salty, mineral, white flower and suntan lotion like smell. It’s bottle worthy for me. Perfect beach vacation scent

More generic rubbish from Dior that smells like a dozen other fragrances. For the price i want more than a subtle skin scent.

It seems like this is a case of expectation vs reality. I wasn’t expecting coconuts, in fact I was expecting it to be more aquatic than it is and was fully expecting that I wouldn’t like it for that reason. I actually adore it. I love soft, evocative scents and Eden-Roc, especially as it develops, smells heavenly to me. There’s a hint of sun cream maybe, definitely a summery, sea air vibe with some soft citrus and gentle florals and then that unexpected pine note, a gorgeous juxtaposition that I get delightful wafts off throughout the day. I purchased the 40ml but wish I’d bought a larger bottle.

IMO this is a concept fragrance. It's what you would think the air in the Mediterranean in the south of France smells like, a little salty from the sea, a little coconut from the tanning lotions, a little floral from the local flowers, and piney from the vegetation, minerals from the rocks, and citrus from the trees and sun. I see this fragrance as a waft of scent that you catch a hint of in the air as your walking around this area. I'm looking forward to smelling the vanilla Diorama,since there's a classic Dior scent from the late 40's called Diorama!!!

I actually love this scent. It’s soft and pretty, salty, floral and like I’ve been on the beach. It’s an easy reach. I purchased the small bottle. ❤️

Seb I am not sure why you emphasized this review so much on the coconut note whereas obviously this is not what EdenRoc is about. I agree on the rest: solar salty marine notes. Yes this fragrance reminds me exactly of the type of smell of the beach in July or August near Cap d'Antibes where I spent 10y of vacation when I was a teenager just near where this hotel Eden Roc/Hotel du Cap is located. It's not a loud fragrance but not a soft skin scent either. I actually like it a lot and this scent is perfectly unisex. I would say this fragrance would be best experienced outdoors in end of spring, summer and early fall when the temperatures are warm to hot and when there is a soft wind

I adore this, it is light but it lingers on me. I catch the scent through the day, and would take a deep breath. The scent matches the description on the website very well. I am very glad it does not smell like coconuts to me.

I've enjoyed the sampler I have, plan on getting a large bottle of this one. I prefer more subtle "Stand close" scents; modern scents are pretty assaulting. A bit of coconut? Possibly. I enjoy it and it is ideal for subtle wear. If I want an assaultive scent I'd break out the Dior Sauvage which I do wear as well.

I think the problem is fragrantica having the notes wrong & creating a false expectation. I’ve come across a few fragrances where the notes are glaringly wrong, and corrected in the reviewers comments.

Smells nice but I’m on the same boat as you. It’s meh, nothing breathtaking. And yes the minerals do remind me of balade sauvage I agree. My favorite from this line would still be rouge Trafalgar

I have the smell in my hand now and it brings in my mind going in the beach in Albania where i come from. Golem have a forest with pine trees,with the wind who comes from the beach,siting in the restaurant with orange and lemons around it smells exactly like Eden-Rock This parfum remind me home

Beach walk holds better. I even did a comparison this way. You did a great review of a less than stellar Frag. My bottle will go down like Bois dArgent. What am I gonna layer with it so that it doesn’t just vegetate😡

So I guess we are on the same page with this one? I suppose you can layer it with something actually coconutty. Like Comptoir Sud Pacifique Coco Extreme I think should work! :)

I just tried that layering combo it sort of works but I think the marine, vegetal, mineral smell of Eden Roc kind of clashes with the smoothness of the coconuts in Coco Extreme! :)

I wear Oud Ispahan, Purple Oud , Eden -Roc , Amouage Journey . I started to watch reviews on KZfaq and no one likes these scents except me .😔They say these are very masculine fragrances . Gosh , I’m exactly opposite.

Idk if you cover this in the video since I haven’t watched fully yet, but I actually like it, to me it’s a more aquatic Balade Sauvage, with *slightly* better performance. Not a buy for me, but if I had unlimited money yeah sure I’d get it and wear it

I did a review on that one and I really loved it😍 I agree about the coconut, but for me I was happy because I don't like coconut. I love jasmine however and it's really present in Eden-Roc I didn't know about the notes before smelling it and the first thing I smelled was jasmine. It reminds me a lot of Colonia Pura from Acqua di Parma (same perfumer surprise surprise) I wish it lasted longer on my skin 😢 I'm going through my bottle very quickly

I smelled this one at Saks but didn't care for it. Too much mineral vegetal for me and not enough coconut. I was looking for a beachy fragrances but unfortunately that is now what this one is.

I’ve always wanted to go to the Eden Roc hotel in France so I was excited to try this and didn’t think it would have any coconut notes. To me the mineral notes made it lean masculine. I thought the scent was a mix of Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt and Soleil Blanc, neither which I like so I was sadly disappointed with it.

I am a Dior Fan!!!! 9 FB’s. No coconuts .Thanks for introducing me To Sal. I’ve gotten several bottles from him. Great person! This Frag sucks though and I bought the whole Kit n Caboodle😡
