I totally agree with you about fashion that’s ostensibly “impractical”. If fashion is supposed to be an art form, then sometimes considerations like wearability and practicality should be allowed to go out the window.

The great thing about Galliano's Dior was that you could take off the big heavy head pieces and accessories, tone it down, maybe put on a 4 inch heel as opposed to 7 or 10, and it's just beautiful gowns at the end of the day. You could still wear them to some big event

Leaving the fact that my favorite thing it´s to watch this two talking, TOTALLY AGREE WITH THE DIOR CRITIQUE. I mean I even have Dior on my skin permanently and I understand and support the reasons why Galliano was fired, but what I dont get is why they thought "oh, a minimalistic designer its what fits Dior the best", I CALL SHADE AND I NEED OPALANCE BACK.
