Voy a tratar de explicar mi pensamento en español. He estudiado filosofía a la universidad y me gusta hablar de religión también. En mi vida he vivido con y sin Dios y es muy diferente. Ahora soy católica y estoy muy contenta de haber encontrado a Jesús en mi vida. De verdad ninguna palabra o filósofo podía convercerme de Su existencia, necesitaba una (o más) experiencia con Él y ver si era real y podía mudar mi vida. Es verdad qué si fuéramos poderosos y todo iría bien no necesitaríamos a Dios. Es nuestra fragilidad que nos permite de apoyarnos a Él y es maravilloso cuando vees que no es solo una idea linda mas una persona que es contigo siempre (y físicamente en la eucaristía) y puedes tener esta relación. Mi vida es más rica y linda ahora, y la gracia de verdad te salva, te sana, te ayuda todos los días. Pero es una experiencia personal diferente para cada persona, por eso hay testimonios de fe, no razonamientos. Hay que ir y ver.

Thank you for this thoughtful video. One of the reasons I am acquiring Spanish is that I want to travel to Garabandal Spain to witness the future great miracle. Back in the 1960s, Mary appeared to 4 teenage girls at Garabandal. She told them that one day, God would perform a great miracle there. One of the girls was told the date of the miracle and instructed to tell the world 8 days prior to the miracle. So I hope to go to Garabandal and be able to speak Spanish. That is why I am here watching your videos and enjoying your wonderful sense of humor! - Dave

Thank you. A religion cannot be utilitarian unless those who hold it believe it is more than utilitarian. So it is very dangerous, on a rooftop, to think one can fly. But maybe he will not try if he thinks there are alligators on the ground below. But he has to truly believe they are there for this to work. Then there are the underlying presuppositions. Religion (even if false) serves a good life? What is a good life? The religion (true or false) answers not just one but both these questions.

My history professor in college said that the Quran has similarities with the Bible. Another of my history professors said that religion was an interesting topic to study because it's about how people choose to structure their lives. I'm oversimplifying their ideas because it's been awhile. Also in college I was assigned to read the book of Genesis. It was the first time I had read part of the Bible and I was struck that so much in Genesis was familiar to me. It’s because it's integrated into our culture. I'm currently reading the history of the Mormon Church in Italian (Santi - La storia della Chiesa di Gesù Cristo negli Ultimi Giorni) and once I'm done with that I'm going to read it in Spanish. I'm reading it not as a believer, but instead as someone interested in American religious history.

@@spanishgitana Another book on this topic is Thomas Mann “Tod in Venedig” (Death in Venice). What I retained from it is different generations of a family having unconventional religious ideas, but in each generation, as death nears, they return to conventional religious ideas. After I read it I told my friend that it had changed my view of life. He said, “Really? How so? I replied, “It darkened it.”

you don't buy religion in a supermarket, when you get to the funeral of your beloved person you have to answer the question, what the hell am I doing here? and the answer to this question determines how you live what you are doing and why!

yo personalmente creó en Dios pero si estoy de acuerdo de que los humanos hicieron el concepto de religión para muchos beneficios. Te dejaré con esto, ¿qué daño podría surgir de vivir como Dios querría, incluso si no existiría? Es un tema muy sensible. No creo que Dios exista. Pero respeto a los que creen en Dios porque creo que lo necesitan. Realmente los envidio porque pueden pedir ayuda, o al menos esperar ayuda. Solo puedo confiar en mí mismo. Por cierto, ten cuidado cuando hagas algo por curiosidad.(9:17). Muchos jóvenes comienzan a tomar drogas o intentan ser homosexuales solo por curiosidad.

Deberias leer la historia de Cain y Abel. Abel tenia un relacion bueno con dios. Cain estaba celoso por esto. Cuando Cain estaba pensando de matar a Abel, Dios avisó a Cain, no lo hace. Pero, Dios no dío a Abel un mensaje de advertencia y permitío Cain hacerlo. Por lo tanto, Dios sacrificó lo bueno por la esperanza de lo malo se convierte en un amigo de Dios. Dios ama mucho los perdidos.

la religión es un tema muy interesante para mi. crecí baptista pero ahora mis creencias están más cerca del ateísmo. hay muchas denominaciones diferentes del cristianismo y muchas se contradicen a las demás. no solo tienes que creer en el dios correcto… también tienes que creer en la versión correcta de tu religión. para mí, no tiene sentido
