Have so much fun! I think I am going to use tomato cages to support my Tithonia more. It might keep the bigger branches from breaking, and keep the plant fresher longer

Brings back floral memories. That was my work for ten years and then support on VD and MD and a craft store in the floral department while I worked my full time job. Now I get green nails and skin from tomatoes! I like how you throw your cuttings behind you on most videos as if they were hitting the floor!

I've grown tithonia for years. 1 plant grows 6 feet tall and at least 3 feet wide. You will need to transplant into a larger growing area. Also they are slow growers. I planted mine the first of May and they are only about 12 inches tall. I'll get blooms in S e pt. The monarchs favorite flower!

Good afternoon. Do I think it is weird to be planting different seeds in with the tomatoes and such. Not at all. I threw in seeds into my front garden this spring and I now have a mesh mash of blooms and it looks like a cottage garden. So go for it. Love the way you think. The bouquets are gorgeous. Enjoy the trip and see you soon.

I have no luck growing scabiosa from seed. I tried indoors and outdoors and can't get them passed small. Or they don't germinate at all. So I give up. I live on the low AZ desert zone 9 b. Enjoy your vacation after all your hard work!

I’ve had mixed results with scabiosa … they seem to have a low germination rate and do better starting them inside than direct sowing outside!
