I really liked hearing your take on their videos from a production/set design viewpoint. Thanks for sharing. I started watching a few K-pop videos a little over a year ago. I’m a costumer/runway stylist who also reworks fashion - I was drawn to the edgier styling often worn by the male groups. I also like the hooks and choreography - very street/hip hop style. The core riff in”Shut Down” reminds me of old school West Coast flavor with a touch of Asian instruments. Lisa’s voice/flow reminds me of M.I.A. (“Bad Girls” is a good example: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aNuJppOYr6qRfHk.html), while Jennie sounds like Iggy Azalea.
