He has an English version to this song with this music video as well. The translations on this video are slightly different than the English version. You should watch it so you can see and maybe it will provide more context. My theory is that these time periods are actually lifetimes. No matter how many times the world tries to keep them apart, they still find each other in each new life. The drawings of her on the walls could be visions of her as he is remembering his past lives with her.

As a Thai person myself and listening to his interviews. He meets her naturally in every timeline purely out of fate, and nothing to do with time travelling. The song and mv is a genius work.

jeff is honestly so so talented and sooo underrated. cause he's an absolute genius. he makes storyboards for his mvs. makes the whole songs by himself. and he's damn great at what he does too. his brain is such a mystery. i hope one day every person knows his name. he deserves it.

Jeff has said that the song is about how when a relationship ends how the feelings and memories don't fade, which is where the title comes from. You should absolutely listen to the english version too. Also the time travel makes sense with the phone in every time. I imagine the times are 20s-30s, 60s-70s, and then modern, and since he doesn't know what the iphone is in the second time, thats actually HIS first time. So she dies and he discovers the phone, then he goes back and shes with someone else, and then he goes forward to modern times. The MV is chronological for the times, not chronological for him.

the phone case line "when we get older we will be free" also references his song "stranger" that has the lyric "when we get older maybe we will be free" the lyrics for that song could be interpreted as being about this same story too, although it was written for a stage play he acted in (stranger only has a lyric video and no MV but its in English and very beautiful, you should check it out!) I also like the fate/reincarnation concept better

I like to think he’s immortal and keeps meeting her reincarnation and when he finally meets her the final time he sends a message back through time to say it’s going to take “this long” to meet and everything will be okay. But he still falls in love every time. Good stuff.

Destined to meet but not fated to be together in each life. How much time needed to fade to forget the pain? There is a Chinese (which many Asian countries also believe in) myth that destined soulmates are bounded by red thread/string of fate. This myth gained popularity again 2-3 years ago due to BL Thai drama called “Until We Meet Again”. Check it out as it was a phenomenal BL series. The last part of the MV appears to be them finally finding their happily ever after. Or that’s when they finally meet and remember their past lives. Third time’s the charm.

This MV hits like a 5:00 version of "Until We Meet Again" (watch the series, invest in tissues). The idea of people finding each other in their future lives, either as soulmates or through the "red thread of fate", hits the romantic spot a lot better than "time travelling stalker."

Yes, invest in tissues if you watch Until We Meet Again". That was such a great seriesl. I go back and watch it every so often. I liked that they had two different "couples" play the the two different lives.

My theory is that Jeff, in the 3rd meeting, they meet for the "1st time", hence the mobile phone, and that somehow he sent the phone to the past, where he met her, and that the mobile phone contains a message saying something like: "everything will be ok, we'll find her again". I personally think that even though they don't show the phone at first, but I think Jeff is attracted to her, without quite knowing why, and that when he loses her, he finds the message every time. It's the trope of: "I don't know why I have this connection with you, I don't know who you are, but I know you are irreplaceable to me".... Love you reaction, especially to Jeff's abs 🤣😂🤣😂

Firstly, you can buy the Jeff Satur iPhone cases. I picked up on the Trinity thing, clever and amazing. Jeff always amazes me, the talent, his voice is so satisfying, songwriting so fresh, genius mode.

I think the whole fate idea makes sense! However, if we look at the lyrics of the song too, it talks about how hes not able to forget the memories and in the english version “can you please just fade away” I think his ability to time travel shows how much he’s not able to forget what they had that he HAD to time travel to find her in every lifetime. But i love your take on it! It makes it very special

This reaction was everything I was hoping for when I commented on previous reactions of yours. Thank you! Jeff is a genius. He does most of his music production on his own usually. Personally, I find the the timeline here in the MV to be connected to the Thai belief in reincarnation to be most influential on my interpretation of the MV. I believe Jeff finds Trinity throughout her reincarnated lives. Like soulmates, as you said. Just an aside, Jeff Satur and Alec Benjamin (the US artist) did a couple songs together around Christmas last year in Thailand. I'd recommend watching their duet of Devil Doesn't Bargain live. They barely had time to prepare together and the performance still gave me chills

So excited to see your reaction to Fade, I think it's possibly my favorite MV from Jeff. His MV concepts are always really interesting, but this is the clearest story-telling I think he's ever done. As mentioned in other comments most of his self-produced songs have English and Thai versions, though the English version isn't used in the MVs. It's also not always a 1 to 1 translation. For Why Don't You Stay and Lucid, they actually present different perspectives on the stories of the songs, which is just fascinating. I haven't had a chance to fully dive into his other songs to see how their versions differ, but I wouldn't be surprised. Also, if you get around to it, I think you would enjoy his collaboration on Far with another Thai artist named Silvy. Silvy and Jeff's voices complement each other really well, and that song is one of my favorites.

yeah well basically they keep meeting in every timelines and it ends up badly everytime. first she leaves him for another guy, then she's killed and then they meet again in the end. he did show the diff timelines based on diff cameras like first just drawings then the big film camera and then mobile phone. honestly the phonecase was just his product placement. he had collab with casetify and he sold 2 diff customized jeff cases. he designed those himself.

Okay hear me out, what if he can travel through time but like he doesn't know about it and his memories are wiped out? Like deep down in his heart, his desire is to be with her happy somewhere and everytime something happens to her or something, he unintentionally travels through time? Like he is not aware of it at all. Also I discovered Jeff last year through KInnPorsche and he truly is one of a kind

I love Jeff! You really should listen to both the Thai and English versions. The meanings are a bit different in interesting ways. I keep both versions on different playlists because the vibes are different. Fade in English is heartbreaking. Thanks for the reaction, as always!

Okay so what I thought was going on is that in the first 2 timelines were coincidence, but he found the phone after losing her and decided to look for her with the wish of a good long life with her. So that’s why that sentence on the back of the phone(? I have my doubt’s

If it is time traveling, it could make sense too. There’s a scene where she gets stabbed and I assume she dies. Maybe that part is her destiny, so he’s continuously time traveling to be with her and fill the void of what he used to have with the one in his time. It still would be destiny for them to meet eventually, and instead of it being time travel, I feel like it’s him from different times in his life (basically reincarnation, but he’s time traveling to the future where she exists.) Hopefully that all makes sense, that’s just a theory I came up with.

Hey Roscoe, Ya know I think that Jeff himself believed he was underrated and that is possibly why her chose to step away from the films and Bl dramas to really push his music more globally. the dude is around 30 years old he has composed several OST's for Films and dramas and is an amazing musician, If music and performing is truly his first passion he is probably right to go balls to the walls and explore wherever it will take him. I found jeff through his amazing OST's and eventually watched his dramas. but when i learned of how much of am amazing artist he is I started following his music endeavors. you may want to watch his appearance in the show "the piano and I" and also take a listen to his song "Dancing with the devil" written by Jeff but performed by Isbanky another amazing Jeff Satur song

he was fumbling with the phone because smart phones weren't invented in 1940s yet, he doesn't know what it is. it's turns out to be a magic phone, when he put it up against his ear, he instantly remembers their previous lives. that's how the third incarnation was able to find the girl.

I knew you would go crazy about this mv :) Keep diving deeper. He is a genius. I don't understand why he hasn't got more recognition but so happy he get's some attention through this. I like the song Hide as well, no master mv on this one but still a good song. Lucid is a nice mv as well

I'm so late to this video but from interviews and commentary my understanding is this is multiverse theory like 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' or 'Into the Spiderverse' - rather than time travel, with an element of star-crossed fate in the sense of fated to meet but to never be together in any timeline.

I think it's about 3 lives, about incarnation. In his first life Jeff lost the woman without starting, in the second life Jeff lost the woman through death. And in these 3 lives only Jeff remembers everything.

In college I bought my first love an English "newsboy" hat and a long wool coat kind of like in this video. My guy loved to drive. He dreamed of owning an Austin-Healy or a Triumph Spitfire.. We both grew up not thinking it was a cabbie hat, but a distinguished driving hat from England. His mother was from England. And he loved wearing that look.
