When I first him sing, I felt the same way. He is noted by many as the "best singer in the world" and I agree. Yes, he is called an "alien", as I understand he reaches 5 octaves! I was so impressed that I forced my teenage grandchildren to listen to him sing so they could learn to appreciate greatness! He is a masterpiece, a musical painting that must be experienced so that one does not lose the opportunity and joy. Thank you for your beautiful and inspiring reaction. P.S. I am 82 yrs old and was a professional singer in my youth. Finally, I hear the best in my lifetime.

Dimash is a stage animal. Meaning he gives 200% to every performance. He has uncapped stage presence. He feels what he sings. And every song he does is different, but equally outstanding. He is a generational singer - we won't ever see anyone like him in our life time. It's not just his range but all the different colors and augments he uses. You can tell he is someone who really understands his voice and is constantly refining it. This was from awhile ago, and every song - every year, as improbable as it seems, he gets better.

Dimash is from Kazakhstan, sings in 14 languages, plays seven instruments, models, composes, acts, directs and is humble, respectful, charitable, loving and very much the humanitarian. He sings opera, pop, rock, jazz and even a little rap. Try Stranger from new wave 2021. It’s a dramatic song, in English. But anything from him is amazing. His parents are singers but Dimash has worked on his gift for over twenty years and still improves. He speaks Kazakh, Russian, pretty good in English now and sone mandarin.

*Dimash* a rare gem who has one of the finest and widest vocal ranges in the world [huge fan here!] Heard about him when he first appeared as a teenager and he blew us all away. A recent measure show Dimash's voice range is 6 octaves plus one note: A2 to D8 with a highest whistle tone of G#7. His mother is/was a soprano singer at the Aktobe Philharmonic Society++ and his father is a performer as well -- so that boy got the genetics in bucket loads!! Beauty Roscoe -- blown away hon🎶🙆‍♀👌

You definitely don't have to explain yourself to us "Dears". WE GET IT! He's amazing on so many levels. Besides having a crazy talent (bolstered by lots of education and hard work since the age of 5), he's a wonderful human being. He says he's a fan of his fans and proves it at every concert and meetings with fans. He goes out of his way to honor the elderly and children. His Dears consist of men, women, and children and all fall in love with him. I've been on my Dimash journey for five years and haven't gone one single day without his music. Oh, and you mentioned his "presence". I haven't had the good fortune to attend one of his concerts but all who have say he electrifies wherever he is. Not to mention he's 6'3" so really sticks out in a crowd. 😁

You described him as a presence, funnily enough someone asked the question in a fangroup the other day about what it was like to actually meet him, someone who has, said it was like standing in front of a ball of warm light where the rest of the world fades away and you can't think or breathe. That the presence you see on the stage is a lukewarm representation of what being up close to him is like. It's why people spend thousands and fly across the world to see him live in concert. I see you had one dissenter in your comments section but I also saw their first comment, that they had avoided watching him at all costs, if you have a closed mind and are determined not to like him from the beginning then that says more about you than it does about Dimash's vocal abilities.

@@KathySwampQueen thank you, ❤️ I've noticed that a lot about people who say they don't like him, they tend to be people who are determined to find fault from the beginning. That it's all hype or it's a gimmick, I personally can't see how using a voice that you've been given and then trained for over 20 years can ever be called a gimmick. What do they expect him to do? He is the best humanity has to offer. I know you've already done a deep dive so I won't go into the details. But Dimash is the real deal in a world full of pretentious wannabes. His stats are inhuman, his falsetto is angelic, and his base notes rumble your gut. But, the way he emotes, no matter what language he's singing in you feel what he needs you to feel. That is his greatest gift. I have been listening to him for 4 years now. I'm in my 60's, he's the best vocalist I have ever heard hands down.

Ok, that is your opinion though, not a fact. He is definetly not the best I've heard. So maybe you've missed out on a lot of singers then. If this is the best you've heard, or we have different metrics of what is good. Singing both female and male parts is a gimmick in my world, my range was higher than this guy before I injured my vocal cords and it might still be, I'm not even a singer. Very good though, hair raisingly good. Not the best though, in my opinion. The production is a big part of why this performance was epic.

As a Director you might be interested in watching Dimash’s MVs. All movie like first class productions of high artistic value. Dimash is across everything with every detail considered. His latest powerful masterpiece “The Story of One Sky” is 13 minutes long - a 3 year labour of love to compose the music and write the script - his message for peace. Other MVs: - Know (filmed in Iceland) - Love of Tired Swans (filmed in Spain near Malaga and in Ukraine) - Okay (filmed in St Petersburg) - Be With Me (nightclub setting; his own composition referencing his idols Michael Jackson and Jackie Chan) - Golden (Dystopian theme) - I Miss You (studio green screen) - Across Endless Dimensions (official theme song from the Italian sci-fi fantasy film "Creators: The Past".) Hope you check some of these out and maybe react to them 🙏🏻🇦🇺

This man is very interesting. After reading and viewing everything about Dimash I found that I enjoyed his music better understanding his background and the history of Kazakhstan. Understand that Dimash is a Muslim and very proud of the history of his people. I believe these 2 facts are fundamental to understanding his musical choices. I knew nothing about Kazakhstan prior to listening to Dimash. I think it is important that this is a Country under the rule of Russia from the time of the Tzars through the fall of USSR. Through centuries of domination by Russia, the Kazakhstan people struggled to maintain their language and religious beliefs. Because of Russian rule, the people of Kazakhstan speak Russian. When Kazakhstan became free sometime in the late 1980s, the new government sought to establish a moder Muslim Country. Dimash's parents chose to follow traditional Muslim practice of living in a multi generational home. Dimash was " given" to his paternal grandparents who he called his parents. His actual parents were university students, formed a musical group and became popular singers in their Country. His parents and their musical friends seem to have recognized Dimash's singing ability when he was a toddler and he was playing the piano by 5. His family and their musucian friends nurtured Dimash's talents entering him at the age of 6 in a school that focused on performing arts. He had the best teachers and this great support network. His father a musical also became a producer and his mother also took on a governmental job to promote cultural growth. In short Dimash has a uge network of friends and family behing him to nurture his talent and guide his career. So, whole you ate not the first person to call him an " alien" the truth is that he has Bern working all his life to perfect his ability. His father is the architect of his career moves. He started to compete in singing contests which seem to be common in the former USSR Countries. Wins there led to Dimash being the first non Chinese person to compete in China's main vocal contest broadcasts. He came in 2nd. It seems that the Chinese government had something to do with that decision. Dimash became popular throught China and parts of Asia through that show. Dimash has written and performed several songs calling for world peace and speaks at his concerts and political forums on behalf of children suffering from the impact of wars. I will end by saying that Dimash's talent is breathtaking. He has a global fanclub. His fans are called "Dears". He will be 29 this year. He has been performing since he was 5. Recently, he was in America to attend cinema courses and he also met with David Foster the writer producer. Perhaps they will do some work together.

Dimash pierces our souls... His stage presence, that aura he shows, is the most special and powerful I've ever seen in a person. And when you know him, his thoughts, his feelings and the way he speaks, you understand he is and old soul came to Earth with a message for all of us. The lyrics on his songs are quite often really deep and meaningful. This song, "S.O.S. d'un terrien en détresse" was not written by him, but it's obvious it was FOR him. He won the Slavic Bazaar Contest in 2015, three years before this video, with S.O.S., and he had been invited in 2018 to perform again. I strongly recommend you not to pause Dimash's videos until the end of them, because sometimes at the end he speaks, like on this video. On those moments you can notice the humbleness and simplicity of THE KING OF VOCALS.

Some of your questions answered. 1. Standing ovations aren't part of eastern culture. If some do so it is seen as rude behaviour. Artists get applause and flowers instead. 2. It is not his song, but he made it his song. As a part of a french rock opera of late seventies lots of French regard this song as one of the best ever written in their language. Generally speaking about Dimash whose last name means "given by God" in Kazakh language he's one out of billions. I'm pretty sure the world never ever has seen an artist this complete. You ain't seen nothing, yet. Following Dimash for about three years every song he published was a complete surprise to me like to his fans. The lucky guys who have heard him on live concerts often talk about a spiritual experience. Dimash himself stayed the humble, down to earth and handsome person he's always been. He makes the earth a better place to be.

I have been following Dimash for almost 4 years. I feel like his music saved my life. I was the worst emotionally, physically, and mentally i have ever been in my life. I had lost my will to live. When i hear Dimash sing for the first time I just wept. I had been a classical lyrical singer in my youth. However, after a very violent ex husband that used to strangle me and a random violent attack by tow men at my workplace (being strangled and my larynx and pharynx being completely crushed) I somehow blocked out in my psyche that i even knew how to sing. I wept when i heard Dimash because i knew i would never again (I am 53) hear a voice like his for the first time in my life. I have never or will ever hear such a beautiful voice that can break through such emotional darkness. His music can inspire and bring life to something that looks dead. Dimash says himself that his Voice is God-given and he practices so much as he feels a responsibility and love for his "Dears" or fans. The song that i listened to every single day for an hour just to be able to get out of bed (i have 2 rare diseases called scleroderma and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension) is called Ogni Pietra or Olympico Thank you for your reaction and Howdy from Texas 😊

This song S.O.S d'un terrien en détresse/ SOS from an earthling in distress is Dimash’s calling card. It is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears. This song is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight in 2017 (The Singer). The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' (1978) and is known in the English-speaking world as Tycoon (1995). Music: Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon (French original text). The English adaptation is by Tim Rice. * Original: Daniel Balavoine - SOS d'un terrien en détresse (Starmania) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b9GKqKeZ2rrPqHk.html That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home. The competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to KZfaq ... and so we became Dimash's Dears. The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. Won). * Dimash - The Singer 2017 - behind the scenes (English subtitiles) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jpdkgrqSuNbdm2w.html A few months after 'Singer 2017' and starting his world career as a megastar, Dimash sang this song here, as the guest of honor at the opening ceremony of the 'Slavic Bazaar 2018' competition. (The International Arts Festival “Slavianski Bazaar“ is an annual festival held in Vitebsk, Belarus since 1992. Its main program is devoted to Slavic music (also a Competition). * 2015 Dimash was the winner of Slavic Bazaar (full version) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z86bfs2bp9u1eXU.html * 2017 SOS ( with subtitles)- kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jZhpraimv7zFqKc.html ✴ In January 2021 Dimash was one of the few foreigners who has been asked to attend the live online show marking the inauguration of the President of U.S.A. Joe Biden. He is here as a representative of his country Kazakhstan and he is also here for his Dears from all over the world. This is the first time in the 67-year history of the Sister Cities and the first time since relations between the United States and Kazakhstan began (almost 30 years ago) that an artist from Kazakhstan has attended such an event. Dimash performed S.O.S. and Samaltau. * S.O.S. Sister Cities 2021 (Inauguration of US President Joe Biden) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qatdbMmCuazdkac.html

When I die, I'll die richer for having had the chance to listen to Dimash, as cheesy as that may sound. You should listen to him singing "Olimpico", which was composed by Igor Krutoy, who came back from retirement just to write something for Dimash after he'd heard him sing. It's a very powerful song in Italian. But then again, go and listen to ALL of his songs, because he never disappoints. 🤩
