WLtoys makes some good stuff for entry level RC cars and new hobbyist. the prices are really good too.

@@AngeloDenwillPetate In my opinion, yes. pricewise for an entry level hobby car I really don't think you can beat wltoys. keep in mind with these cars in particular you won't be able to drive on high pile carpet very well. it its low pile or bare floor you will be moving. all parts are replaceable on the car which is a huge plus. the manual for the car gives a solid breakdown on the parts and gives you the part numbers if you need to order replacements.

@@windstar44 luckily I only will drift in my room which is so tiny 😂 I don't even need it's powerful motor it would be too powerful. I know bring this to the street and it will not handle the bumps and specially if it's not asphalt. So basically it's gonna be running on wooden floor that is 7feet x 7 feet. I had a HB toys Rc car and I was a bit disappointed it always burned the brush so fast, it kept breaking specially the solders. Like I legitly spend lots on that car. So I decided to buy WL toys I saw how they're like mini 1:10 inside. And that got me interested.

If You want cheap drift car, WPL D12 is actually quite good (locked diff RWD, great FW turning rate, looks awesome, plenty of upgrade/repair parts available) . With some tuning, its awesome! 1/12 size thou. Sg 1603 is another one that was awesome for what it costs, 1/16 size and has adjustable ESP + drift and rubber tires. For minis, K969 is awesome and able to compete against much more expensive cars (with some tuning/adjustments).

I love the cheap one. Looks amazing and it looks like it drives amazingly. If I do get my hands on it, I might try to put some sort of brace on the sides so it doesnt bent so much and so it looks legit. Amazing car!

The k969 is awsome bang for the buck! Definitely the way to go for your 1st mini drift car but proper mini z's are good too, there not as fast as the k969 but they handle better.

I have the cheap one its pretty fun, I broke the front drive shafts but you can get metal ones. You can do all sort of projects like putting different bodies to make moving scale models, I put on a bigger battery and it worked fine.

There are a ton of little things you can do to the K969 that make it work much better if you don't mind taking the time to smooth some plastic parts. Great video as always Kev! Ps. Your Kitties are the best!

Beavers Hobby channel gives good insight into these micros, apparently the Firelap cars can have a lot of issues that need solving to get best performance and even then tend to underperform vs other cars, upside is the bodies are nice though, a lot cheaper than Mini-Z bodies too! But yea, have to agree, for the price, you can't really go wrong with the wltoys k969/989, the drift and rally are same car just different tyres and body.

Kev here is a perfect example of more expensive doesn’t always mean more better!!! That Porsche clone killed the more expensive celica. I was loving the way the porsche was drifting the whole track. Also nice new pair of tighty whiteys!! You need to put some out with the gnasher picture or my fav cat WEASEL!!! Lol hope you guys are taking care but maybe set up a crawler track etc.

Surprised that the cheapy seemed so much more sorted. Are the vids of Kev in his jocks going to be a regular thing or will that be 'only fans' ? My cats also never know quite what to make of my RC's. They like model trains though.
