Just moved into my large studio September 1st I even have a back door so I'm not living like a hamster just joking but hey I haven't tried it yet but I did put all the parts together just waiting for the extra clean up after Christmas since my carpet was brand new and I've been taking my shoes off

I took my dirt devil that has 7 settings from bare floors to high pile ) apart to clean 100%. When I put back together. The hood will not stay down on the place where you adjust this. Why won't it stay on it ?
