Hi! Brush not spinning on your Lift & Go? We put together this quick video with some tips that should get you back up and running!

I'm having the same issue with the power stick. Judging from the comments this needs to be addressed! Cmon Dirt Devil! Dont be cheap and ruin your good brand name. Mine 9s only 3 months old!!

Mine is three weeks old. I've literally used it four times and now the brush has stopped. No strings or hair trapped on the brush. Very frustrated as I have house guests who arrive today and am irritated and trying to figure it out online. grrrr

My vacuum is less than six months old and the brush has stopped spinning. There are no obstructions and I’m unable to take it apart myself (tried and can’t figure it out.) I’m so disappointed in this product, it worked so well when I first bought it.

roll brush has stopped spinning, and it no longer turns on!!! it is only used for 5 months once every couple weeks??

IF YOU HAVE BURNING SMELL: I repaired the brush roller by 1. removing all external hair, string, etc. 2. Pulled off end caps by putting in vice and pulling. Hair was imbedded in there slowing rotation. This caused belts to burn. 3. Removed all hair. 4. lubricated with 3 in 1 oil. 5. replaced caps. put back together and it works! I'm too lazy to do a video. LOL!

the brush roller has to be replaced every 6 months if you vacuum a lot. these aren't industrial vacuums. the bearings in the rollers just wear out. when the bearings get dust and dirt inside it becomes harder to rotate causing the belt to heat up and stretch and the motor to overheat and fail

when I pull mine back its not spinning. so I have to pull it back multiple times with some pressure to get the brush to spin. it's like the mechanism to start the brush is worn out.

my Dirt Devil lift and go still won't spin I tried all the little tips that you gave him the video I've only had it a few months I don't have a receipt or box it was a gift what am I supposed to do with a vacuum cleaner that only the hose work I have 3 dogs and 5 kids I need it to work

There definitely seems to be something wrong with the brush. The portion which normally more-or-less "free spins" is providing an inordinate amount of resistance. Like it is jammed, or misshapen or any number of things that might prove to be the undoing of joints and moving parts, I guess. What am I supposed to do now? Soak it in warm water and have a bourbon?

+RavingNoah Hi! This is not good to hear. Sounds like there may be an internal issue going on here. Can you share the MFG code to your cleaner? This will be located behind the canister once it's lifted off the base.

Okay, absolutely. And thanks for asking! We appreciate your help. The unit was purchased March, 2013. We had it a year in your basic two-room apartment. Then we moved into another person's apartment for two years, and she insisted on having us only use her blue Bissell Powerforce Upright. That relationship petered out earlier this year and we're back in a two bedroom apartment with not a lot of carpet, but the Dirt Devil was able to come out of purgatory. I'd say we've been using it for six months here...so about a year and half of total bi-monthy use on this particular vacuum.
