Great video guys. I always see guys with bikes who buy aftermarket parts to make their bike look cool or perform better but never do any maintenance. So instead of servicing suspension, engine, or brakes they throw parts at it to try to compensate for degraded performance. These guys need to watch your videos.

Another good trick with the Ktm and husky when doing an oil change is that when you drain the screen or the oil filter that you can wrap a little bit of aluminum foil around the frame so it doesn’t get all over the fram and flows right into the oil drain instead of making a mess

14.00 *Japanese* screws are often a specialized size, getting the correct tool for the screw results in less stripping - yes they do 'stick' but I have found that people who use the incorrect tool often strip more often than those that use the correct tool

I use my knee to push. I put on my knee pad and use my knee put push the caliper in. Works great on the trail or at a gas stop. If you drag brakes the 25 dollar bottle works well on the rear. I don't, but I use cheaper and bleed often. Use a hand mighty vac, but just bought a hand pump pressure bleeder for my truck to replace the MC. Will have to test that out. Also, when tie the handle to bar turn the bars so the MC is higher than the hoop.

Some great tips man well done! I find with the vacuum bleeder keep it on sucking and slowly tighten the brake calliper bleeder nipple when new fluid is coming through. You will never have to manually pump and hold the lever ever again and never have to reverse bleed. Absolute Rock solid lever everytime. Works perfectly for bleeding hydraulic clutch also. Dirt bikes and sport bikes. Also try the bellray filter oil it doesn't run out of the air filter it stays in.

I over filled once because of the manual. Mine said fill the filter and half fill the housing with the bike on its side...then ADD 1100ml of oil in the engine. I triple checked and that’s how it was worded in the manual. Way too much!
@trombolio
@trombolio 3 жыл бұрын
@@deanowilliams6400 I add some of my 1450ml to the filter housing and run my bike for a bit to get accurate oil reading. 1500ml is too much as the manual says. But better not to starve the engine from oil to be on the safe side.

You started to explain that you don't warm up the engine before you drain the oil. But you got over it in a second. ;-) So why don't you warm up the engine? I don't do it too. In my theory the oil is already down in the engine so why should I pump it around before I want to drain it.
