The li'l piggy barn is the farrowing shed.

That old concrete pit and block is about amazing fill. I remember at one point, you all talking about how you would have to find ways to fit Bubba Dump into jobs. Now for a lot of these demo project, it is the perfect tool to have in the kit.

I was expecting to see some 40-pound critter come running out of one of those buildings. Lol.

I know what it's like to clean up when it's been let go for so long my wife bought the old homestead from her uncle about 5 acres and we have been cleaning up by hand for the most part it is a lot of work but is well worth it when you see the end result after you finish a section done

Perhaps, next time you and Farmer Chris get together, could you talk about the sequencing between clearing brush to harvest on this new farmland? I've tore down two houses and a 3-stall garage with my CASE 480 backhoe and I'm here to tell you, there not much that's more fun then tearing a house down with a backhoe! It sure comes down a lot quicker than it went up! Yep, the hog houses were just to low for any value and the pits made them zero value for anything you'd want to use them for! Thanks Mike & Aaron! Mike, LOVE this abandoned Farm series, and can;'t wait to see what you do with it all, this spring . Thought you said in one of your podcasts that the ground was NOT farmible??Wondering what you and maybe Farmer Chris plan on doing about it all. Glad the buildings are down, Hope you saved that Gate for Aaron, seemed to look like a pretty sterdy gate. was not aware that that house was also yours on your property as well. Lot of thoughts on that and how to redesign it to work better for what you may need it for. Office space, for the farm?? never know, would be nice to keep it, with the toilets and pluming in it, MIGHT need that.

Hello Mike, thanks for this video of you and Aaron getting the old farm cleaned up. I raised Landrace pigs (Lot's of bacon) When delivered in a farrowing pen/enclosure, the newborns are called piglets or suckling pigs. After 3 months they are called Wiener pigs and can be sold since they are eating on their own. Sows are over 400 pounds and boars are about 500 pounds and love chewing on wood so most pens are made of concrete and metal. I used them to clear stumps, though it takes a couple of days but the stumps are out of the ground and less expensive than an excavator. :)

The shed looks like a perfect place for Gunner to have a petting Zoo you already have the animals 😮😊😊😊lol

I am originally from Michigan and always loved. Traveling North of Detroit to where our cottage was. It was 4 and a 1/2 hours due North in the heart of the Huron national forest! There were tons of farms that we would always drive past and as a kid. I always said if I ever got an opportunity to buy a farm. I would solely farm crops harvested and then give it away. To shelters and soup kitchens. Around the area! And I know the government doesn't allow that. Because it's against their stipulations! But I have always been a huge fan of farms and abandoned properties and developing them, but not necessarily for shopping centers and subdivisions. But the work that you're doing on this farm has drawn me in a 100%! If it wasn't for my normal browsing on KZfaq and watching my normal car. Revival videos such as vice grip, garage and puddin's fab shop along. And with sleeper dude, it wouldn't have drawn me into your channel! So I shout out to those guys as well! I know i'm the age of fifty one going on fifty two and I live north of memphis and tennessee! Thank you for having your content on youtube so I can view and enjoy!

I lived in a two bedroom duplex apartment that once was a Hog Barn. It ad a metal roof which was real cool when it rained.

Where the pigs have piglets is called a farrowing barn. My dad was in charge of my grandfathers farrowing barn and my uncle was in charge of the fat pig barns. Back in the 80's we would sell about 1500 head a year. You can imagine the size operation we had back then

My job as a kid was to pump out the farrowing house. I was fun using the the honey wagon but you had to watch the wind.

I started raising hog in a building about like them what pita they was. You guys have made quite the transformation you the farm stead

Having cleaned up around old torn down buildings on a farm before I can only imagine the amount of nails that will be in that area.

I sure like my stihl battery powered pole saw. Been using the heck out of it. You got the extendable one that I wanted but got mine right after covid and all they could get was the non-extendable one, and the floor demo model at that. Better than nothin!

I've like this series on the abandoned farm....lot's of work but it looks good. It sure is a good thing the you've got MBTS there to keep you straight and under his constant supervision....it's a tuff job but somebody's got to do it. 🤣

Great channel and keep up the good work. Cement isn’t getting any cheaper😢. I would’ve left floor and built an equipment building over the two slabs. Could’ve been 3 sided or enclosed to keep some nice equipment out of the weather.
