Oset 12.5 Electric Trials Bike - Kids Learn To Ride
Dirt Rider's youngest test gun, three-year-old Paxton rides an Oset 12.5 electric trials bike for the first time. He had never ridden a dirt bike by himself before, but thanks to the low stand over height and ability for dad to adjust the amount of power available, his first time was a success! We have had one for two years. The only issue was we lost the key so I wired a switch. My younger boy is just about ready for it now. Its silent so we have been taking it to the parks and all the kids come from the playground and want to try. I got into trials cross training for Utah desert racing and now we do the family local trials meets and its been allot of fun. I weigh in at 200 lbs and the 16" oset scoots me around the yard. I was worried about the price tag during purchase but the resell market has been solid. Highly recommend trials early to learn balance and control, think of it as another safety device.

when I was a child the first thing that comes to mind is the smell of 2-stroke on a crisp Sunday morning....also the smell of the shed when you slide open the shed door....any rider knows what I'm talking about....these kids these days are deprived.....

My 3 year old daughter Hili loves her OSET 12.5 Racing, and she's been progressing really fast with her riding. Was doing small jumps and whoops while standing on the pegs in no time. Alot of that had to do with her Kokua balance bike, which she learned to ride in skateparks and ramps when she was 2. Check out her videos on my channel if you wanna get stoked on kids doing really awesome things (she loves to surf, snorkel, skate, bike, and snowboard as well).

I love bikes of all kinds, but knowing that boy won't remember noisy, stinky, loud bikes that always needed work, didn't always start and needed a special place, far, far away from the ears of non enthusiasts. well, that just warms my heart. Silent shredding. Now if we could just make helmets for the little ones that weren't crazy huge....

I’ll have to disagree, the best memories I have are of two strokes sounds and smells. It intoxicating and any time I hear a performance two stroke engine I’m brought straight back to 4 years old. That was great.

+TheGamingBros46 You teach a kid 1 thing at a time and electric bikes have a lot of engine braking. All he had to do was take his hand off the throttle and it would come to a complete stop.

he will definitely need some other bike soon, maybe crf or something, I'm worried about that little man's back, if he rides without soft bench in a track, those bumbs will wear legmuscles fast if he needs to ride from pedals all the time. And would be good to have discbrakes if he drives on dirt or wet terrain. Anyways, very nice hobby! :) he should remember to ride right after falling down, so he doesn't start scaring the bike or something.

people stop moaning about the brakes.. you don't need to press brakes on these types of bikes because as soon as you let go of the throttle it has like an automatic brake that slows it down in seconds.. and I know this for sure as I used to have in
