You're such a joy to learn from and with!!! Such a beautiful cup. I did learn else where that if you paint your cup with (any color) acrylic paint...the entire thing and pour your mixture over the top of that, that the wet acrylic paint base makes it very easy for your pour paint to slide down the cup and not leave untreated areas. Thank you for being such a gift to us newbies!

This was fantastic!!! Yes, it’s called a tree ring pour😊😊😊. I’ve also flipped the paint cup, I more on canvas, and you can put silicone drops in the paint cup to create cells, they just spread to much on a tumbler. Blowing through a straw works great to move/spread the paint, and you can expose the colors underneath if you like, too!! The cup is stunning, thank you so much!!!🥰

I just love your videos you do such a good job explaining! I do paint pours and the silicone is what is added to make cells but as you found out not good on a tumbler since it doesn't lay flat. As for the bottom of the tumbler you can take a popsicle stick and scrap the bottom to move the excess paint down the tumbler, you can also use a spoon to pick up some from your plate and put it where its needed on tumbler. Your cup turned out really cool great inspiration. Have not tried those paints but they look awesome. Thanks for all the great videos.

Turned out so beautifully!!! 😍 A different dirty pour option is to pour the cup of layered paint onto the tumbler while it’s turning. Obviously the flow is then sideways, but also looks really cool!

In the future consider letting the paint run down one side onto the bottom. It is a really gorgeous show. I used a combination of 14 different white to dark brown with golds, and pearl colors to make a wood look. Really stunning.

What I meant was, while pouring the paint into the cup let it run down one side. Sorry it wasn’t clear at first. I did not mean to drip colors directly onto the tumbler like it may sound. I love learning from you.

You should definitely save keep your pour off and make acrylic skins. You can use those skins and add them to your tumblers and coasters, etc. So pretty!

Absolutely beautiful! I LOVE how you took the paint off following how it flowed on the cup. That made it looks so much more realistic. How do you think this would look with an added peekaboo effect? I’m making a Jurassic Mom Cup and for the top layer she doesn’t want the original spray paint that most people do. What’s your opinion on adding some decals to the cup, doing the paint pour, removing decals and then removing some of the paint like you did for the geode look? Because my customer still wants the geode look. Oh and I absolutely love how your cats name is Peachy 😜💜

Emily VanDyke thanks! I think that would be cool but these paints are thicker than normal craft acrylics which might make pulling decals super difficult and might pull up on some of the paint. Like this paint came out really thick. Maybe if you did a dirty pour with craft acrylics watered down that would work 🤔

thank you! it's Mac "whirl" lip pencil and whatever foundation I have left on my mouth lol. Sometimes I wear lacome 307 pale lip cream.

Hi I am new to this and the 1st few I've done as I pouring there is a great really nice design as the pain continues to drip it turns into straight lines almost blending together giving me only like one colour how can you keep the design on your vase

hey, i let mine dry overnight and the paint would not come off. I had to scratch the paint off and sand. I have made them before and used acetone. I switched to KS Resin. What is happening that the paint hardens.

It turned out fantastic!!!! But how did you even it out after removing some of the paint? You just went over the whole cup lightly? Sorry watching in the dark on low lol husband sleeping and I needed some me time to watch your amazing video! Lol

Thanks! Every time u remove some paint with acetone you go over that section with rubbing alcohol to clean it up.

I have a question. When you do the rubbing alcohol and it has that depth (uneven amount) how do you put a even amount of epoxy so it don’t feel lumpy if that make sense.

Hi! Love your video! After I finished and was cleaning up the rim, some of the paint/epoxy is peeling down causing the rim to not look good and flaky. Am I missing a step somewhere? Don’t want it to peel back! Thank you so much!!

Thank you for the video, just so I’m clear, the glitter layer had epoxy on it prior to the paint? Also I’ve noticed that some people randomly squeeze paint in the cup opposed to how you did it, one color inside the other, is there a reason for that? Also what would have happened if you just poured the paint over the cup instead of in a circular motion?

Yes there’s epoxy on the glitter layer. I like the way the paint looked with this pouring technique. You’ll get different results with each technique you mentioned and I’m not sure how it will look because I have t tried that yet.

how much epoxy do you need to add when the paint is dry then let it set for 8 hrs

I'd say about 30ml for that first coat and 15-20ml for each additional coat until smooth

Hi. I have a question, before you put the epoxy layer after you finish the process with the painting. How did you clean the tumbler, between those two steps? Because I know the tumbler cannot be dirty to put the epoxy. Ty so much!

the paint removal process to expose the glitter cleans up the cup just fine. I put epoxy right over it after that

I sprayed it on the bottom of my first cup. It looked good on the flat bottom but not on the sides of the cup because fhe sides arent flat. I didnt like the look on the sides so i didn't use it on this cup
